I was listening to 790thezone and on the rare occasion they had Woodson on.
I agree that this guy is not the long term answer, but he

Steak Shapiro, like most guys on sports talk radio, is an idiot. He's also from Boston, so it doesn't surprise me that he doesn't think we stand a chance.
Those guys just sput off and speak their minds, they don't seem to care that they constantly get facts wrong. I enjoy 790 for pure entertainment, but I would NEVER turn on that station to get some legit info. The only guy on 790 that knows the NBA is Home Team.

Tell 790 goodbye to their Hawks marriage
You can't convince me that the Hawks will give any kind of love to 790 after their non-support these past 2 years? What little support they provide seems like a nuisance to the hosts. who just can't wait to blast BK and Woody. Talk about no appreciation! Put the Hawks on a station that can be heard at night outside the perimeter.
Truth is, I didn't like a lot of moves made prior to this year. But, like any other GM, I bet the % you get things right is under 50%.
The Bibby trade has reinvigorated my belief in BK (huh?)and the ownership group, no matter what happens in the playoffs. This team was not going to get an 8th seed with that lineup pre-Bibby. BK finally swallowed his pride, and got JJ a little help. I can tell you, I like us more against the Celtics than Cleveland or Detroit.
Yes, it will take a few more moves, and getting the near future figured out. But we now have a good nucleus (good, not great) to work with and we can have some optimism in this city at least with the home games.
It does take small steps, and BK and Woody probably won't be around to enjoy any major success here, but I will be behind this team going forward and look to add more veteran talent in the offseason to take the next step.
