I have a lot more respect for Noah on the floor after seeing him play this season. He truly doesn't know how not to hustle, and even on a team that had mailed it in since December.

If he can get his ish together off the floor, he will be a very nice player. Also a college teammate of Horford's.

Noah has been late for team meeting all season and cursed his coach our in practice(as a rookie). I know he's not a bad guy but why the hell did Josh Smith get all that coverage last year as a "bad guy" when Noah has been fined alot more for team rule violations in his 1st year alone.

Because he's a competitor and Josh Smith didn't go to college and is therefore not a competitor.

C'mon man, you should know that.

Because Josh shot some birdies at the crowd in Charlotte therefore he is the spawn of satan. Plus he looks like Game, so he probably is into that Hip-hop stuff.

Bogut flipped the bird to his own fans in Milwaukee I believe, but that coverage dissapeared immediately.

Josh Smith has tats and flicked off the crowd, therefore he is a thug in the eyes of the media.

I think it's the tattoos. I honestly can't think of one guy the media considers a "bad guy" that doesn't have tattoos.

Considering he was returning from a funeral in NY, the story really did not need to even be reported.

It should have been reported because it's a season long issue. Noah reportedly is always the last one on the team bus and has been late for things like team meetings the whole year w/o getting benched once. The entire Bulls team has been allowed to walk over the interim coach w/o consequence. I would like to know why Noah is considered a hard worker/passionate guy while Josh Smith is considered a headcase.

Cause, the national media often dwells on his multiple run ins with Mike Woodson and various assistant coaches. I no longer live in ATL, but I often read online (particularly in the NYPost) about J-Smith having heated arguments on the sidelines DURING games with the coaching staff. I wonder if Sekou of the AJC is intentionally burying these stories. Wouldn't be hard since he's the only beat reporter for the Hawks.

I don't read much about the Hawks in the NY Post. The AP doesn't pick up on that stuff so unless they are burying it too...

Do you watch the games much? It doesn't seem like there are any heated exchanges but maybe I just miss them.

I recall at least three Peter Vescey pieces in the last 18 months detailing exchanges between Smoove and the Hawks staff.

P Vescey may be a tool, but he IS well informed.
