If we couyld have seen the future and we knew we were going to get
bibby, it sure would have been nice to have drafted Javaris and let him develop! This kidd got upside!!!

I would put money on Acie being a better player than him in the future.

I agree.

Anyone that said we should have taken him over Acie obviously didn't watch him play at Tech much. He is just as much likely to make a great pass as he is to try and pull off a And1 move and throw the ball inthe the second row.

dude! you must not seen this guy play! He's not a pure point but, neither is Accie. And he got Game! The perfect combo guard to come off our bench

Acie is a PG.Crittenton could backup Acie though....maybe....maybe not.

Critt is 3 years younger than Acie. Neither has done anything their rookie season which mean Critt has more value because he was billed as the turnover prone athletic/upside project while Law was the 4 year starter who was supposed to contribute immediately. I wouldn't have minded taking either before the draft but neither is good now and Critt is likely to improve more in the future.

Different style of players. I didn't want Crittenton in the draft because he seemed to be a dribble a lot PG at Tech (in the style of Steve Francis or Stephon Marbury). That style can have big nights but doesn't always make those around them better.

I'm not sure where Acie Law stands right now. He didn't have a good year, but he reminds me of someone trying to play a radically different style than he's used to. It's a long, ackward process. Some make through, some don't. I wouldn't bet on either right now (for or against). It's just too blurry a situation.

Critt doesn't have more value because he is a basketball moron.

There is a difference between being a turnover prone rookie and just being basketball stupid.

Think Gerald Green vs Rajon Rondo last year in Boston. Critt, much like Gerald Green, is just freakin stupid when it comes to the court.

I would have though Josh Smith was (Please Use More Appropriate Word) at basketball as well after one year. You can't judge a point guard after one year...ESPECIALLY when they are 20 years old. I actually think turnovers are the easiest thing to improve from a rookie point guard.

I wish there was a way to work something out this offseason in a trade that includes Marvin going to Memphis and Lowry and Mike Miller coming our way.

Yes, you can improve turnovers. Which is why I used Gerald Green/Rajon Rondo comparison. Rondo turned the ball over alot. I expect turnovers as a rookie. I don't expect you to have a simple pass, turn your back try to pass between your legs and with your eyes shut while drinking a martini because it would look cool. He is that kind of a moron.

Lets not pretend we didn't see this kid play at Tech and he would make you turn your head to the side and think"what the hell?"

Josh Smith couldn't dribble or shoot or...well..anything but dunk and block shots as a rookie. Thats not the same as being a basketball (Please Use More Appropriate Word).

Could he get better? Sure. Will he? I doubt it personally. He is a shooting guard that is playing point because he can dribble really well, but also thinks that And 1 basketball moves belong in the NBA.

Javaris Crittenton will be fine as long as he puts forth the time to study the game. I like the guy very much, but I like Acie Law even more, and I wish both of the best luck. Memphis might hold Javaris Crittenton back with the depth they current have at the 1 and 2.

That would just make too much sense.

yep.Lowry would be a good backup to Acie and Miller would be a better SF than Marvin.if that happened I would trade Bibby for draft picks or depth.
