Pathetic

I knew we was going to lose to Boston but the hawks are not even putting up a fight for them...its pathetic, Bibby is choking, heck the whole team is choking. We don't deserve to be in the playoffs until we play like a real team.

Most years 37 wins wouldn't make the playoffs.

I guess the Hawks should play their best in their final two games in order to make the record a bit better. 39-40 wins have been the norm in the east.

And I find it interesting that the last time a 36 team made it into the playoffs was none other than the Boston Celtics in '03.

We didn't make the playoffs because of some loophole. We weren't good enough to get better than the 8th seed so we had to face Boston.

You know how they say point differential is a better predictor of championship capability than record? basketball-reference.com went a step further and threw in the strength of opponents. Boston was better than every team in the NBA since 1970 but 5 - the 70' Bucks (Kareem and the Big O), the 72' Lakers (Wilt and West), and the 92', 96', and 97' Bulls (MJ and Pippen). Its not perfect but you catch the drift, this team that we are playing is a) historically good and b) motivated more than any other team in the league because KG wants a ring. It was a given that they were gonna murder us, the fact that we don't have a good distributor to push the pace, any consistent off the the ball shooters, any defensive depth, or a good coach don't help but losing like this to Boston is no reason to blow it up.

Oh geez people. We are a bad road team. We lost two on the road. Big whoop.

Its the playoffs. The series doesn't matter until you beat a team on their home court. I know its cliche, but its a damn good cliche.

There is no shame in getting beaten by the Boston Celtics. We played incredibly hard the last two nights and got shut down. Everyone wants to criticize, but we are playing poorly because the Celtics are making us.

In the 2nd to last game orlando had nothing to play for but beat us easily. Miami had nothing to play for (they only had 14 wins) but they beat us as well even though our starters played 30 minutes.
