If Bibby was just doing that to keep the Garden fans from going after the young guys, I applaud him.
If his shot is falling, we are a different team. Let him start but give him a leash.

Agreed - I thought that was a great move by a savvy vet. Unfortunately, he came out and took a dump on the floor after the opening tip. Can't criticize him for trying to help our youngun's out psychologically though...
By the way, Acie looked GREAT out there in the second half. Hopefully, a sign of things to come in the future and not just another aberration.

It seems like Billy Knight can't do anything right.
I really thought this Bibby deal was a slam dunk no brainer for us. I guess that shows how little I know.

It was still a good deal even if Bibby doesn't do anything. It gives us a big expiring deal which can be useful in a trade. It isn't like we gave up much to get him.

Bibby's actually a decent player. He's just having a tough stretch. I'm sure he'll play much better in Atlanta's home games.
Acie's pretty good. Billy Knight made the right decision in drafting him and Horford earlier in the draft at 3.

I still think it was BY FAR Billy Knightmare's best move to date. We dumped 4 awful players for a savvy veteran point that we desperately needed. Like Tontoz said - his contract expires after next year. Let's see what he can do with a full training camp to gel with the rest of the players next year. He had some really great games for us and our offense improved drastically after the trade.

The Bibby move was fantastic. We got a large expiring deal for next year and it helped us into the playoffs.

i'd take a useless Mike Bibby over a Anthony Johnson and Tyronn Lue combo anyday.

Someone is gonna have to spell Bibs off the bench. I think it will be Acie in Game 3, if he plays well like last game he needs to see 20 minutes at least, especially if Bibs is still struggling.

Even if Bibby plays good Acie needs to play because he showed he can score against there defense.

Exactly. We probably would not even be in the post season period if it were not for Bibby. His presence has really helped Joe out....just not the last 2 games, obviously neither have played well.

Bibby shot 4-12 and had a lot of dumb passes. He always wants to jump to pass and gets in trouble. Not impressed.
