Captain Joe Johnson

Joe Johnson is showing that he's truly the captain of this team. It's been questioned since he first put the Hawks jersey on, but the playoffs bring out the best, and Joe has put this team on his back. I love the fact that Joe has a backbone.
Thanks Joe for everything you do for this team

I have complained (probably more than anyone) about Joe dribbling and going one-on-5 but tonight he did it -- and did it like a HOFer.
Down the line, you couldn't have asked Jordan, himself, to do better.

He had a nice game but we would be better off if we had traded him for Vince Carter or Jason Richardson.....**** outta here!
Joe just went into beast mode in that 4th quarter....that step back 3 when he just looked at Powe on the ground was probably Joe's signature shot in the ATL. He also didn't do it by getting bailed out by the refs either(ala Wade.) The man was just clearing out and TAKING baskets and there was no one who was going to stop him. The people who have been calling out Joe all year(you know who you are)and even had the audacity to say he wasn't trying(despite playing all 82 after a season ending injury last year)should really be singing his praises right now.

I said that many times, JJ is the best player we've had in years, at least since 1999 team. I do agree with what Nique said that many people do not appreciate what he's done as a basketball player. I'll never forget he wanted to be a Hawk when even Dampier rejected us.

I'm with you, Tontoz. You believed in that guy through some tough times, I'm glad he has proven me wrong.

I am not surprised at what JJ did at all. He was doing it last year but it seemed like people forgot because he wasn't doing it on a big stage like tonight.
