The Importance of Leaders

Hey I'm a Clippers fan but when I was watching Game 4 I was amazed at the Hawks performance in the game. I literally saw this team mature both talent wise and emotionally in this game and I thought about why that is. I boiled it down to one person: Al Horford.

He comes from a championship team and knows what it is to be a leader. He motivated his team by playing that Ali fight, using his resources at Florida to get a hold of the tape. He is supporting Zaza after the fight and getting the crowd pumped up by waving his arms. He's hustling after every rebound, leading by example and motivating players like Josh Smith to match him hustle for hustle. It's clear; he believes in this team and they believe in each other. I really think Al Horford is the heart and soul of this team and that you guys really picked up a special talent, more so for the leadership quality he brings to that team than any physical attribute.

I think Atlanta has a good shot at beating Boston, as team they only are getting better whereas Boston has been taken out of its element. If Smith can keep going and Johnson does his thing they are going to take that game in Boston. This is the true test, how this team can perform without its fan support. I will be looking to Horford to do what it takes to lead this team to victory.
