Hawks need a shooter off the bench... the offense become a pain when both Childress and Zaza are in the game.. JJ is going to be doubled, Bibby's going to have a tough time getting open shots... so that leaves us hoping the Josh Smith hits the jumper (the oh no! oh no! oh no! ... oh yes! moments). I'd say bring Marvin off the bench... both of them plays the same kind of minutes anyway and Woody tend to like Childress more at the end of games.

Woodson should try a starting lineup with West in Marvins place. I think West could defend Pierce well. And please try for a couple of minutes J-Rich out! He could realy hurt the celtics comming from the bench.

^^^One of the biggest losses of Woody not playing his bench enough during the season is Mario West. I genuinely believe he could have an impact off the bench for us and be our version of Chillz on the defensive end (hustle plays, efficient etc.).

Yes, I agree. I was watching almost the whole 2007-2008 season, and when Mario did get more then 1:35 minutes, he was playing strong, with much energy. His defense is more then good, and the Hawks need somebody who could stop Pierce. He was scoring at will in the last 2 games in Philips. I think West would be able to make it difficult for him.

Hey, we're bringing fried bird and fruit cake to the game and are handing them out to Hawks fans. This will be a very nice game, if you know what I mean.

We'll eat your chicken but if you are predicting a win:

Is it true that P2 is the Boston equivalent of hawksmaniac81?

Don't expect much bench in this one. Mario, Jeremy, Solomon, and Salim didn't get minutes when it didn't matter, so I doubt they see any in the biggest game of the year. For that matter I only expect to see Acie and Zaza the minimum necessary amounts to get breathers for Bibby and Horford.

Also, while Marvin is starting Childress is playing starter minutes and Marvin is playing backup minutes this series. That is primarily due to the defensive end. The reason Marvin got more minutes in game 5 was the quick fouls on Joe.

If I were you guys I'd start AC and try to match Bibby up with Cassell as much as possible. Bibby should close out the games and such, but just to start take away the only speed advantage BOS has in the starting lineup by having AC bother Rondo to start.

We need Bibby to step up in this game and the crowd should be a major help tomorrow.

their is no trick, Hawks know Boston's secret

- let KG, Rondo, and Posey settle for jump shots

- get the ball out of Allen, and Paul's hands

- push the ball

- get the ball into Josh's hands in transition

- get Horford the ball down low

- and hope Bibby has a decent shooting night.

You have a point, but Acie is a poor shooter and we need as many shooters as possible when Joe gets doubled. Acie should play more on Rondo though no doubt that kid is quick.

I was watching a lot of NCAA basketball back in 1997-1998. I was playing basketball here in Hungary, and one of my dreams was to play in the states, for a college. My favorite college team: Arizona Wildcats. My favorite college player: Jason Terry. After he was drafted I started to support the Hawks. Here in Hungary besides me there are no Hawks fans

WE NEED TO START ACIE TONIGHT!

We need someone who can create for others as well as themselves. And Acie can penertate, pass and finish. That opens up the floor for the rest of the players. And I feel that he can play better defense on Rondo/Cassell. If I were Woody, my starting five would be:

Acie
Bibby
JJ
Smoove
Horford

This starting five would give Boston fits IMO. DONT START MARVIN! His confidence is void right about now, and he and Chills should share sixth man duties. And I would like to at least have Mario West out there 15-20 minutes giving Pierce the business. To me, Mario is a poor man's Bruce Bowen....and his role tonight would be to STOP Pierce! If you have to give up six fouls....so be it! But to me, some where along the way, you got to use all of your bullets...cause you cant bring a knife to a gun fight!

And another thing... WOODY! DO NOT BENCH JOE IN A CRUCIAL PART OF THE GAME BECAUSE HE HAS TWO FOULS! Mike Fratello made light of this the other night when he said that being out 10 gametime minutes is the equivalent of being out 30 realtime minutes.

That's unacceptable!
