If Salim leaves this summer (and why wouldn't he) in search of a chance to play, I think we should at least invite Chris Lofton from Tennessee to camp to see if he can catch on. Although he lead Tennessee in scoring, he's not projected to be drafted. It could be because his shooting percentages were down this year or that he's too small for SG and not skilled enough for PG. One thing is for sure, he's tough. He was treated for cancer at the end of the 2007 season and they keep it under wraps as he played out his career last year.

I don't suggest this under the guise of do the poor guy a favor. I just think the toughness implied by surviving such a triel suggests he might be able to stick and ultimately thrive. Even if it isn't here I wish him the best wherever he might get that shot.
