No he wasn't a high school hyped "Next MJ".
No he doesn't play in L.A. where even Luke Walton looks good.
He has lifted his team in the playoffs, and I think it's about time the rest of the league agrees that JJ is a star.

If he drops 30+ to lead Atlanta over Boston in game 7 then I'll say...
JJ > Pierce, KG, or Allen
Very suprising, the Celtics couldn't even win one in Atlanta fans must of really got to them unlike our 76ers damn it.
It hasn't been just JJ, how bout Josh Smith,Marvin Williams,Bibby,Childress,Horford stepping up in Atlanta of course they way they played in Boston is terrible and will have to find what they have in Atlanta. While Boston has lost some tight contests, when Atlanta got hot in the 4th Quarter.
The difference between Boston/Atlanta road losses is the Boston losses have been close, and Atlanta in Boston gets blown out I think the Boston garden is too much for the young hawks to handle shooting under 40 percent and around 80 pts. per game won't get it done in Boston for sure.
This proves JJ is an all-star he does have a good amount of help now, not now a superstar but coming close if they beat Boston which is unlikley Atlanta could go far..but I still doubt it a below .500 team vs the best team in the league..we'll see on game 7 I can't believe I am even saying that.
I don't think I Trust The Process anymore!
We are the originals! We are the Philadelphia 76ers!

When I saw JJ on the 1st page of AJC this friday with an exciting crowd behind him in that picture I thought to myself that this should be so special for this guy. He wanted to come here and though things didn't look good at times, his dream was coming through right before his eyes. I've been a huge JJ fan since he "forced" to be traded to the Hawks. I really love his game. Thanks for all JJ. A true star.
GO HAWKS.

Thank you JJ for sticking with this "lowly Hawks teams" as the media likes to call us (I'm sure that title will be alleviated now!!). You came to us when NO ONE wanted to play for us. You endured the 26 win season, the 30 win season, and now all your hard work and dilligence is paying off!!!
I think this is really a turning point for JJ. He is confdent in his team. He doesn't force the shots when he's doubled, he puts his trust in his teammates and they are coming through. If he's having an off shooting night, he still finds a way to be the leader on the floor through his defense, hustle, and team play. He is playing with more swagger and emotion and has been absolutely CLUTCH.
Everyone hoped the playoffs would be Marvin's coming out party, but IMO it has been Joe's. I see the making of a true star in this league!

Dwight Howard on his FT struggles:
"I just think everybody needs to stop talking about it," Howard said. "There's more to life than free throws."
