Whatever you do, do it now!!

I took this title from Sekou's blog, but I couldn't agree with it more. He talks about the ASG needing to make quick decisions about the futures of Josh Smith and Childress to put them at ease and allow them to do their jobs and gear up for next season.
But I also take a different angle on the ASG needing to do it now! Specifically from a coaching/GM standpoint. While they sit around with indecision, all the good candidates are being snatched up by the competition.
As it is already, I see our competition getting better. The Bobcats go out and get Larry Brown, the Knicks and Bulls are trying to get D'Antoni or Avery... these are the teams we barely beat out for that last spot in the playoffs. They're the competition, and they just got better. We're really not any better than these teams on the court, and they just got better than us off the court (coaching wise).
These available coaches are clearly an upgrade over Woodson, and to not get in on the negotiations for their services, I think would be a dis-service to this team. Sekou also talks about how this organization has shown this same kind of indecision throughout at times, and it's reputation for not acting decisively. These other teams made their decisions quick, and to the point with no apologies.
I know we're in a somewhat different situation because our coach "took" us to our first playoff in 9 years, and it's a tough decision to let a guy go after that. But if you're an organization with a plan and a clear vision, you've not waited till now to evaluate these things. You've seen what Woodson can do after 4 years... the question is can he take you to the next level, cause there's coaches available that can.
Personally, I say Woodson needs to go. I've watched basically every game this team has played the past 4 years since he's been here, and one playoff series doesn't change what I've seen from this coach.
I'm tired of the poor substitutions, the inability to recognize when we need in game adjustments for a chance to pull out the win, the stupid look he gets on his face as the game slowly gets away from us....
I still say we got this far mostly on talent alone. We've got some talented guys on this team, who work hard and want to win. That alone will win you some games. And considering we only won 37 this year, I don't think that's too many to win on talent alone.
