Are you cheering against the Celtics?

Post#1 » by JoshB914 » Tue May 6, 2008 5:45 pm

They used to be my number two team, but I can't deal with them anymore. From Paul Pierce crying 24-7, to their fans claiming Stern rigged games 4 and 6 for us (a lot of their fans were fine but some of the officiating comments were just absurd), to KG backing down from Zaza, I just can't pull for a team like that. Maybe I'm just bitter, but go Cavs!

On the other hand, it would be cool if they won the title and we were the ones that gave them the most competitive series. And Scalabrine would get a ring, that's definetely something to pull for.

I think both options are good. Like you said...it would be great to see Lebron knock them out and to see their "magical" season wasted(just like the Pats). It would also be cool if the Hawks gave them their toughest series on their way to a title. I'm probably leaning towards Lebron destroying them and their season going up in flames.

I am definitely rooting against them. KG is a puss to be talking so much smack to Horford, a rookie. He is a pansy.

Pierce just dives into people to try to get bailout calls. He doesn't even try to score a lot of the time.

I'm in a bind since I can't stand the Cavs but I also learned how disgusting the Celtics are. Anyway, I think the Cavs won't be able to put the fight we did against the Celtics. At the end, the Celtics will win this series easily.
GO HAWKS.

While I'm not a fan or Boston or Cleveland, I do hope Boston wins the series, because I'm sick of the praise Lebron James continues to receive, and it will be all over the media if he wins against Boston. I hope Detroit or Orlando (prefer) make it to the finals.

I really don't like either team but I think I'm going to pull for the Cavs. I have lost a lot of respect for the Celtics. They are a bunch of crybabies (including their coach) and they act like bafoons when they are winning (I can never get over Cassells 'suck my balls' dance).

I hope the Cavs whoop their arses.

I'm pulling for the C's to sweep all the way to the title. Imagine them just dominating everybody and our squad being the only ones that could give them any resistance.

Good point. I still doubt much credit goes to our Hawks, but it's still gives our players some thing to think about, and to feel better about the way things turned out.

What a difference one series makes. I'm not supporting the Celtics for a title. The antics, the intimidation attempts, and the obnoxious fans (overriding the cool fans, not saying all were obnoxious) soured me on anything good happening for them. I've grown tired of Detroit as well. San Antonio is the team I most actively root against (flopping and whining). Maybe that's why I've kind of rallied behind New Orleans of the remaining teams.

Order in proportion to joy of winning.
8. San Antonio
7. Boston
6. Detroit
5. Cleveland
4. Los Angeles
3. Utah
2. Orlando
1. New Orleans

God please no. If Paul wins a title Marvin will probably cut his wrist from the pressure. And BK might get assassinated. No I need Paul to hold off at least two more years from getting a ring.

I have had enough of the Spurs as well. I watched the second half last night and NO sure smacked them around. I am not used to seeing the Spurs get abused like that in the playoffs. Here's hoping they go down.

I think the only thing that would make this season magical for me is a championship.

Pierce is just competitive I wouldnt call it crying

The calls did seem to go in your favor but you guys were still the winners in the end so I dont like to blame calls

and thank god KG backed down from zaza we cant lose our best player for your bench player. KG got the last word in the end though in a smart way

They sure worked well, didn't they?

A 66 win team shouldn't need mind games to beat a 37 win team.

Paul Pierce fouled out of game 6 with five minutes to go and then sulked on the end of the bench for the rest of the game instead of supporting his team. That was what earns him whiner status in my book.

I am pulling for KG to win a title.
