I think we will see a couple of changes, but the more time goes by, the less changes that will take place.
Will the next GM be able to decide Woody's fate? Probably not at this point because the ASG has spoken publicly about the 'great' job Woody has done.
Yesterday, Horford stated he thought Woody did a great job as well. What else is he going to say publicly? He was put in a no-win spot.
If we get a GM type like Portland and Toronto have, changes were made overnight.
I don't think that would be bad here either. We have a lot of questions still going into next season.

Well, the Hawks' next GM would have to something about the Joshes first then considering someone who can run the team on court, like this guy:

A new GM actually gives an excuse to replace Woodson and someone to handle the task. As for level of change, Portland needed to excise that roster. We aren't in the same situation. We just are devoid of depth. Here a new GM will be faced with a slew of quick important decisions:
Josh Smith
Josh Childress
Marvin Williams
Mike Bibby
Zaza Pachulia

Those 5 players are either RFA or entering the final year of their deals and I can't see anyway they all are resigned. Change is going to happen. The question is whether it is this season or next. It is really tempting to see how this team could function given 1 year, but I actually hope the new GM doesn't fall into that trap. A lot of teams get stuck as a lower level playoff team because they waited to see what happens and watched assets lose value (assets like 24M in expiring contracts).

If the GM is smart he will not make too many moves right away. It's always best to give the team a year and evaluate everyone. I'd still like to see a couple of guys signed to increase depth, but I don't feel a major shakeup would be in order.

Next summer is our time to go make moves anyway, we will have quite a bit of money to spend when Bibby comes off the books.

Next offseason Marvin counts as a max contract

Just like Childress counts against the cap for 11 million this offseason. Marvin will count for 250% of next year's salary- that puts him over the max contract (13 million) so thats what he will count.
