This guy killed use last year. He maybe a good pickup for the right price.

Stefanski might consider making a run at the SuperSonics' Chris Wilcox. The 25-year-old Wilcox has good size (6-foot-10, 235 pounds), likes to play with his back to the basket

The Hawks really don't need another PF. We could use his scoring but the Hawks need a big man who can defend. Wilcox is a 4 just like Smith and Horford.

Hawks should just try to sign Kwame for cheap,.... if not, then just get a 7 foot D-Leaguer to fill the roster. i really have no problem with Smith/Horford again.

Exactly Harry10.... I have no problem with Smith/Horford. I think Horford held down the 5 just fine, and he'll get even better with experience. I really don't believe like alot of people seem to, that moving him to the 4 is going to suddenly open up some kind of offensive explosion for him. He may get a couple more points, but overall I just didn't see that much of an offensive game from him that I'd think he'll dominate at the 4. If anything he creates a little bit of a mismatch for the other teams center.

It's only on those nights where we are undersized that it hurts us. When we play the Dwight Howards, and the Zydrunas Ilgauskis types. And even then, we play Howard very well.

All we need on those nights is a defensive 7 footer to come off the bench and give us some good minutes banging with these guys. I don't think we necessarily need to look for a starting caliber center.

Well said. Moving Horford to the 4 hurts us as much as it helps us because Smoove at the 3 really hurts his game offensively.

We need a backup C to spell Al, and if the matchups dictate Al playing a bulk of his minutes at the 4 we can move Smoove to SF. We couldn't do that with Zaza this season because he never gave us quality minutes and isn't very good on D.

Howard is tough because if you get a big lumbering guy, Howard will just explode around them and if you have a little guy that has the lateral quickness to deal with Howard, he'll just get backed-down.

I think that we really need a backup shotblocker (that we actually play) so that we don't get a layup line every time Smith comes out of the game.

At this point I see no reason for us to trade for Chris Wilcox. There are other serviceable bigs that can be had for a lower price and we won't have to worry about trading for him/them.

Or, Harold Ellis finds us a diamond!

We need to sign Diop or Kwame this offseason and hope that Solomon adds some more weight where he can actually play.

An athletic PF with low basketball IQ like Wilcos doesn't seem like a priority addition to the roster.

well i don't think that moving horford to the 4 is such a bad idea , only reason i would like horford to play PF is so he doesn't get banged up by the bigger goons in the NBA , i'm just worried about his health playing at C , i know he's fit but there are guys out there that way 260+
