I don't know if you heard the audio clip from Joe Dumars, but ouch. He was adamant about shaking things up. The one player I would like is Tayshaun Prince, but I figure the most likely to be moved are Rasheed the tempermental and Rip the Masked Man. Antonio McDyess will probably get moved next year when he's expiring. My thought is that Rasheed for all his talent has been disappearing at the wrong time the last few years. Rip is a wiry warrior, but moving him opens a spot for Stuckey who can produce while under inexpensive rookie deal prices allowing for them to take on salary at another spot. As far as McDyess, I don't see them particularly happy with him, but I just think its easier to get good value next year. Rip Hamilton will probably find some interesting offers as a team looking for scoring gambles that he can step up to another level away from the balance of the big 4.
Rasheed however is another story. His talent has been offset by his quirkiness to put it mildly. A team would have to be a gambler to bring him aboard. I came up with the following possible partners, let me know what you think.
Denver
Rasheed for Kenyon Martin and Denver's 1st - Denver fits the definition of desperate. Martin if healthy is a perfect bad boy for Detroit and his contract is now down to just 3 years. Rasheed's expiring which means if it doesn't work Denver can wash their hands and start over.
Denver #2 - Rasheed and Rip and future #1 for Carmelo and Marcus Camby (after 7/1 when BYC comes off). Bigger deal here gives Detroit the SF they could have had and replacement C. Stuckey and Maxiell get more minutes while Tayshaun might become 6th man or be moved in another deal. Rasheed slides into a front line with KMart and Nene. Rip joins AI in the back court and Linus Kleiza moves to starting SF.
Charlotte - Rasheed in a S&T for Emeka Okafor. The teams have dealt before and Larry Brown gets a vet who played well under him. Okafor gives the Pistons a low post presence that Rasheed was less frequently filling.
Washington - Rasheed for Brendan Haywood and Antonio Daniels. Brendan had his best season last year, Washington decides it is unlikely to happen again. Rasheed joins Caron, and resigned Gilbert and Antawn to be the new big 4 with Nick Young, Deshawn Stevenson, and Andray Blatche in support roles. Detroit takes the chance than Brendan has seen the light and gives them a C. Antonio Daniels is a good combo depth player to fill in once they make their other move or he could be moved along to another team as well.
LA Clippers - Rasheed and Rip in a S&T for Elton Brand. That's paying a lot for Elton Brand, but he wasn't going to come cheap. He's actually younger than both Rip and Rasheed and a bona fide 20/10 guy. He gives then the low post presence to offset the rest of lineup which is more perimeter based. Stuckey steps in at shooting G under this deal. For the Clips even if Rasheed doesn't pan out long term they at least get a SG upgrade. Actually if Rasheed doesn't like the thought of being a Clipper they could pursue on of the other deals to complete their roster.
That's all the real shoppers I could think of for Rasheed. Some that wouldn't mind trying him don't have the pieces to offer and some others would avoid him like the plague. Do you see any of those happening or did you think of 1 I totally overlooked?

I could see LAC going for it if they are concerned about EB bolting in a year, Sheed's value there is more filler than player because they are a littel ways from competing and he'll be 34.
Denver would be a good fit because he can space the floor from the frontcourt and he'd take over KMart's post D duties and let Camby play the Ben Wallace roamer/rebounder role like ol' times. They'd really have to work to convince Detroit that KMart can still ball when he has to though.
He's a hard guy to move though because ideally you want him on a good team where he'll be motivated with some stronger, more established personalities. Young teams with the types of player Det would want for him aren't going to take on a 34 year old with questionable work ethic and a flat-out disruptive personality.
Now that I think about it, he might be a good fit in Miami if the Heat land Beasley. Something like Sheed for Haslem/SnT Wright/Filler.

If the Bulls had anything to give they should be trying to get Rasheed. But they don't have anything I think Dumars would want.
The Suns...man if they hadn't made that Shaq trade would be in perfect position to add Wallace and won a championship next year. But as is....no.
Miami, could give up Marion for him, but that is kinda a lateral move in overall production I would think.
Dallas should look to unload something, but, again...they don't really have anything left to give.
The Sixers would be a good fit but...well...you see where I am going here.
The probalem isn't so much where will Sheed go, its what can the other teams give up to take him. because I can't imagine there would be a lack of demand for him.

I'm not surprised Rasheed might be traded anytime. He's never been and will never be a reliable player. That goes back from his days in Portland. My biggest concern with him is the fact he always put himself ahead of the team. He can't even control his own nerves, but that's not the biggest issue about him. For a guy who talks trash as much as he does, he should bring much more to the table than he really does. He was nowhere to be found when the Pistons needed some help in the last couple of years. He's a very poor version of KG. Talented but very passive, unable to carry his team.
GO HAWKS.

Billups is clutch; try to get him for the expiring Bibby.
Once healthy, Billups is top notch IMO.
Tayshaun is another favorte.
Those 2 should be Pistons for life.
I'll take both, and you can have Marvin and Bibby.

great minds think alike. This is basically exactly what I was going to say.
