No.
Bibby for Nene/Atkins is more like it.

JO has 2yr/$44M left on his deal. The only team I see taking on that mess is NY.

Fans still want Nene?

Its not like Nene has some chronic problem that he is unlikely to ever get over. I think he is a great buy low candidate.
O'Neal will not be back

He and Bird do not see eye-to-eye. Bird is going to have to fire-sale him away from the Pacer organization.
He will not be cheap when he gets where he is going, but don't expect the Pacers to get much for him.
Perhaps Speedy, Bibby and Zaza would get it done? Not sure if that works in the trade checker, but it looks close on the surface.
Could Bird do better elsewhere? I here the rumors about Cleveland and I truly don't expect Sund to come in here and add $30M in contracts to the team in the first year.
While it sounds good, it isn't likely to happen here. Sund appears very conservative in his decisions. I just hope he doesn't plan on improving us through the draft.

No way. We need to get some vets on this team that are winners, not JO.

I didn't want Nene when he first signed his contract and it's a good thing. Now that he only has four years left, I would be open to trading for him, and he's a good deal at around 10 million per/year.
$9,680,000
$10,520,000
$11,360,000
$11,600,000 (PO)

From what I've read, Denver could've traded Nene to Miami (I think it was Miami) for expirings last year, and decided against it.
Now they can't give the guy away. He needs to prove he can play a full season before any team with brains would trade for him.

If he plays a full season then I guarantee he won't be available. Talented young big men don't become available unless there is some risk involved. There was only one team who was smart enough to trade for Chandler when he was available for expirings. No one was smart enough to trade for Kaman or Haywood last year when their value was low. Taking a "wait and see" attitude in the NBA is idiotic. You need to take some risks as a GM.
