How does the first one help us? Adding a soft big who can't be a dominate low post player does nothing for the overall talent of the team when likely Anderson would be higher on the dc than him.. 2nd round picks are just ehhhh, you can probably buy one or two if you want to.

Look what we got him for...
Frye= Shelden
AJ/Tlue/ LoW = La Frentz in term of cap space at the end of next season (marv + FA)
bonus:#33 I don't think that's bad...the only thing is that for Portland to even consider, they probably will need to send Jack our way...

I still don't get the Bibby to Portland scenarios. He doesn't fill the need for Portland. They really want which is a PG upgrade that they can build on for multiple seasons. As an expiring switching him for LaFrentz is rearranging deck chairs for both teams. It creates a void for us. I like Lowry, but he isn't exactly a proven playoff PG. As for Frye, why? Signing David Andersen should provide a better contributor than Frye with a lot of similarities. Giving up a PG to get a perimeter oriented PF just doesn't do it for me.
As for the rest of it, I'd love to get Mike Miller, but I'm unsure how into Childress Memphis would be. When I've suggested dealing Marvin to Memphis it was for them to play him at PF in a running offense, which I don't think is that outrageous given Marvin's frame. He can't bang well with traditional PFs, but he could hang with the lean running PFs (Josh Smith, Marion, Kirilenko, Odom) or the perimeter PFs (Nowitski, Bargnani, Harrington). Childress doesn't project well to PF and Gay is their SF and they are likely to draft their SG.

I don't think Memphis would do the 2nd one.
Frye upgrades our PF rotation and at #33 Sund should be able to get a guy like Jawai and expect Woodson........to...eh.....develop him into a contributing C. Frye put up good numbers on 17 minutes this season. We almost get a first. We momentarily downgrade PG, but I'd expect Law/Lowry to come through.
I think Bibby should be able to help PORT begin their play-off run next season. He would instantly upgrade their PG and give them options at the end of the year.
I think the trade is pretty even.
As far as MEM. I see Zaza and Lowry as pretty close. They get a first, second and Chil for Miller. They might think about it.

I think thats probably fair value for Bibby- it just doesn't help the team. You are trading a starter foor a backup.
And there is no way in hell that memphis does your second trade. you can't honestly think that the Hawks could get Lowry for Zaza- you are grossly overvaluing him if you think that. Zaza is nothing more than an expiring contract.

The problem is you are relying on the second trade, which sucks in terms of value for memphis, to gain the depth that you trade away with the second tade.
I think Smith/Horford/Jones/Anderson/Zaza should be able to man the 4/5 spots fairly well, no need to bring in Frye who woul;d probably not see much pt.
