Re: ATL / MEM
That is a hard one. Want to get rid of Bibby, and love to get Lowry, but Walker has no place on either roster. So yeah, if we cut Walker after the trade then maybe yes.

The pick would be down the road if it's protected. MEM isn't going to improve for a least a couple of drafts. Walker, even cut would count against next seasons cap. Bibby is still much better than Lowry. I'd love to get Lowry, just don't see this as a good deal, unless the first is below 20 and in one of the next two drafts.

I don't see Memphis doing this. They cleraly want to start Conley at the point this season, so there would be no use in trading Lowry, their best trading asset, for a solid point guard who wont be satisfied with coming off the bench. They are more likely to trade Lowry for some help in the paint.

I think the point was that Bibby expires sooner than Walker, providing Memphis cap savings (which seems to motivate a lot of their deals). Not sure how well it works for the Hawks though.

I want this team to make the playoffs and feel we have a better shot under Mike Bibby.

Re: ATL / MEM
I had some similar three way deals put together involving the Bucks and Knicks. I think that they woudl like to have Bibby's expiring, but wouldn't want to give up a pick, and would want a big man in this trade. I had to use a third team to make it work.

Re: ATL / MEM
Memphis has no interest in this deal. Any moves involving the Grizz's glut of guards would be for youth or picks. No interest in Bibby.
