OT: Congrats to the Dream

Post#1 » by lethalweapon3 » Sun Jul 6, 2008 3:25 pm

Pulled out a home victory against the Chicago Sky last night. Wondered whether I'd live long enough to see that squad win at least one game.

The fans are showing up regardless of their record, which is encouraging (I've seen Hawks games with lower turnouts). Kids that could care less about who's winning are having a great time, too.

Do not go to the Dream games if you're on heart medication, but definitely go if you enjoy good comedy with a two-toned basketball. The guards have been turnover machines, particularly Betty ("B-Money... Ch-Ching!") Lennox, and nobody other than Ivory Latta can make a free throw. But they've been thin upfront until they pulled a trade this week, so the new lineup and a returning injured starter at center will probably help them pull out a few more games later this season.

Always good to see the crowd get out to support that team. The attendance numbers are inflated but it's still pretty noisy in there. It was definetely louder last night that several of the Hawks games.

It was a good win for them. That team has been through hell this year. Let's see if they can get something going now as they hit the road next week.

Considering the entire upper level is closed off it may just appear that there are actually more fans. It's not a bad value for the ticket due to that very reason and see you can sit lower with the cheap ticket.

They definetely don't get more than the Hawks. But it is definetely louder in there than most Hawks games. Hopefully that changes this year.

Wait, I can actually to go Philips Arena watch a professional basketball game in the lower bowl?
Is it just me or does NCAAW look better than WNBA. I just hope Maya Moore comes out next year.

Darn shame that game on ESPN2 vs PHX they didn't have a competitive game as they did in other losses. I don't watch much but at least they are playing pro ball in the states.
Where the offseason has more buzz happens.

I have tried my best to watch their games. Everytime I tune in the games were blacked out. I do not get CSS and they appear to have some deal with them. So it blocks out NBATV from showin the games locally. If these fools want anyone to see the Dream play they have to do away with that stupid blackout crap. From the games I have seen Tamera Young look like she might be a bright spot on this team.
