"Minnesota obtains Rodney Carney, Calvin Booth, a first-round pick and cash considerations from Philadelphia in exchange for a future conditional second-round draft pick. "

I know Philly was clearing cap room for Brand, but how is it they Minnesota brought in players in this trade, and didn't give any to Philly? It's my understanding that cash considerations and rookie picks don't affect the salary ratio exchange.

the bucks sent a 2.8 mil trade exception that they got from the mark blout trade last year. which turned into 2.8 mil in extra cap space since the sixers were already under the cap
