Those who have been observing the Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat, New Jersey Nets and New York Knicks, among others, maneuver to create salary-cap space already have heard about "the Summer of LeBron." That's 2010, the year that LeBron James can opt out of his contract with the Cavs.

But the offseason of 2010 is not just the Summer of LeBron: It's also the Summer of Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, Amare Stoudemire, Ray Allen, Tyson Chandler, Manu Ginobili, Richard Jefferson, Joe Johnson, Tracy McGrady, Yao Ming, Steve Nash, Dirk Nowitzki and Michael Redd, each of whom can become an unrestricted free agent in 2010.

And in 2009, the list is illustrious, too: Kobe Bryant, Carlos Boozer, Allen Iverson, Ron Artest, Richard Hamilton, Jason Kidd, Shawn Marion, Andre Miller, Lamar Odom and Rasheed Wallace can become unrestricted free agents next year.

And that's not to mention all the restricted free agents, as you can see below.

Of course, not all of these players will reach free agency. But some will, which is why we're already hearing buzz about the summers of 2009 and 2010.

Take a look and see whom your team could lose … or which players it might ink in '09 and '10.

I'd absolutely love to keep JJ off this list and find a way to grab one other. Part of me says we should try to nab one of them now before they have a chance to hit the market. There's been talk of going after Artest, and I think this is an ideal situation to get him and lock him up before he hits the market next season (depending on how he contributes of course). Personally, I think he'd make a big difference for us as well as be an under-the-radar kind of move that would make us a very good and deep team. Many other teams will only be able to get one of all these coveted players and will still have difficulty matching up with all of our talent/depth.

As a Kings fan if Ron must go, then definately let it be the Eastern Conference. Ron is a defensive monster and is tough to match up with due to his inside/outside game. The Kings are rebuilding and have good prospects at all positions. Who could the Hawks offer that could be better than what the Kings already have?

i was thinking about starting this topic on another thread, but i'll just state it here.

i was thinking about a possibility of making an offer for Lebron, Wade, or Bosh in 2010.

Hawks would still be able to resign Joe, Smoove, and Horford. Bibby, Speedy, and Zaza's contracts would have expired, and you would have to let Marvin walk, but Hawks would be able to offer +$15M to one of those guys.

Hawks could put up the cash, but the team needs to make the playoffs two more times and ride the fan support wave for a few more years, coming off the Celtics series for any of the major free agents like Lebron or Wade to consider ATL, but the Hawks would still be in a better position than alot of teams.

For 09, you can add Randy Foye (RFA), Turkoglu (UFA), Raja Bell(UFA), Steve Nash(UFA), Lamarcus Aldridge (RFA), Steve Blake (UFA), Kyle Lowery (RFA), Brandon Roye (RFA), Brad Miller (UFA), Ginobili (UFA), Jermaine O'neal (UFA).

^^^Actually some of those are wrong. It's like Real GM was a year off or something. They had JJ on there.
