I know this topic comes up every few weeks...but what is the status with Cenk and with Anderson. Any chance either of them will suit up for the Hawks this year?

Andersen signed a long term deal in Europe so I don't see him coming over here anytime soon if at all. Cenk has struggled in Europe, I don't think he's NBA material.

Cenk showed some positives in the tune-up game between the USA and Turkey. He ISN"T complete or consistent enough to contribute here. Perhaps he'll get a look next summer, but I wouldn't expect him to make it.

I feel confident that David Andersen will never come to the NBA. The money is better in Europe for him and I don't feel he has a burning desire to prove himself on the NBA stage. I'm not sure if he has out clauses in his most recent contract, but if he plays it out he'll be at an age where his value is probably not as high as it was this summer.

EDIT - I meant to be negative, but originally typed "is" by mistake. Cenk wasn't very active defensively and may have been a step slow (hard to say against that level of competition).

If I'm not wrong, Andersen has a clause for every year in his contract.

Even if I don't see him coming, maybe he wanted to secure another multi-year contract first, with the possibility to come later. the thing I don't know is if he can come in camp next summer without using his clause, and then decide if he signs here using his clause or stays in Europe, or if he has to use the clause first (ending his contract for sure) to come in camp.

Cenk performed in this game, but I have doubts about his quickness in NBA level.
