30 Teams In 30 Days: Atlanta Hawks

Here we go, it's that time of year. Basically what I'm doing is making lengthy team previews, one per day over the next 30 days. As I'm going in alphabetical order, I did Atlanta first.
Teaser:
The Hawks are a club that has plenty to prove before being thought of as a legitimate Eastern Conference threat, but they are not to be slept on. The reason? Sheer talent. They’ve got one of the NBA’s most complete wings in Joe Johnson, one of the most athletically gifted players in Josh Smith, a savvy and seasoned veteran point guard in Mike Bibby, and two extremely promising youngsters in Al Horford and Marvin Williams. The talent level within that starting five is undeniable, and because of that, Atlanta is a team that can create problems for the opposition on any given night. Don’t believe me? Just ask Boston.

Nice preview. I'm actually writing team previews for every NBA team and posting them online, too.

Positive report
UNTIL
We see the projection of a 37-45 record for the year.
No one seems to believe in this year's Hawk team. Returning all five starters with another years
experience, a healthy Bibby to begin the season, new bench players and what was accomplished
in our home games in the plaayoffs - - -
Does that add up to NO IMPROVEMENT??

It's not so much that I don't believe that the Hawks will improve. It's that I believe that a few teams in the East have undoubtedly improved. With that said, I wouldn't be surprised if Atlanta worked their way up to the sixth seed. We'll see.
Thanks for the comments, guys.

The only team in the East that clearly took a step backwards was New Jersey. Milwaukee,MIami, and Philly are the three teams that are much better on paper than they were last year. I think Charlotte and New York stayed the same but got new coaches(although I think New York will still suck). The Hawks will be in the playoff race until the end although I'm not sure they will make it. Every year it seems like the difference between the 7th and 10th best teams in the East are which ones stay healthy.
