I read on ajc.com that Nique would be joining Bob Rathburn to call games. Does anyone know what happened to "Smitty"?

Yeah Smitty was cool. I heard Dominique on a broadcast last year; he sucked.

Being a great player doesn't guarantee greatness at other Bball related activities like broadcasting, coaching etc...

If only we could get someone to replace Bob Rathbun. He's the most irritating announcer in sports history. I mean that literally. There's never been one announcer in the history of sports that I wanted to choke more than Bob Rathbun.

^^^ Really? I love Rathbun. He doesn't seem like the most fun guy but at least he's genuine and he knows his stuff.

Nique sucks at broadcast. I also HATE it when one of the announcers also works for the team, get ready for some ridiculous homer comments.

I'll miss Smitty. Good to see he got the gig with NBA TV, he deserves it.

I'd rather for Nique just to do halftime and postagame stuff. Maybe they could get Grant Long back, or some other former Hawk to commentate?
