Not having Marvin may be tough. Evans will hopefully have some payback in mind against his old squad and fill Marv's shoes.
I think Smoove and Horford should try and pound it inside against Dwight...2 against 1...maybe get him into early foul trouble.
Also, hopefully Bibby and Acie can get their shots going early against Nelson. Gonna be a tough fight.

Finally the season starts. We seem to struggle all the time in the 1st game of the season. I am not sure what to expect. Just excited to get the season started.

Good to have the game threads back! That time of year again.
We tend to play Orlando pretty close but I've yet to get the feeling that our squad is clicking and by all accounts, there's is.
Losing Marv doesn't really kill us but it means the rest of the front court is going to have to crash the boards even harder which is tough against Dwight (so they need to take advantage of Shard here).
Pietrus was brought in as a "Joe Johnson Stopper" but I'm a bit skeptical, they aren't as deep in the backcourt either so if Acie is going to have a breakout game, he may as well make it against his former mentor in the first game of the season.
Oh, and I'd like to see us run the PnR with the bigs early and than swap in Zaza and let him try and do his annoying flop thing against Dwight. If we can get DH frustrated early, we could have a solid shot.
Can't say the Birds are the favorite here but in SE Division play, anything can happen.
Go Hawks

I can't wait for this game! Feels like we've been waiting forever, but we really need to get started on a good note with a tough schedule to begin the season and lots of games on the road. We won in ORL twice last season so hopefully we can pull it out tonight.
