What would it take to bring Mc Dyess to ATL?

ATL is hot and Mc Dyess would be the perfect fit on the frontline in terms of vet playera and experience. I hope that ASG will recognize the added value that he could bring to the table...This kind of addition would give us serious depth and will make ATL a serious outsider...
What would it take though and can ATL realistically pull that move?

McDyess would be a great fit here.

But his agent has told the Nuggets he will ONLY play for the Pistons.
He refused to even meet with Denver management from what I've heard.

Denver I would undertsnad as he is still mad at the organization after they traded him in 02 I think...but who would be better off as a team in the 2 years to come. ATL or aging Detroit?

McDyess should go back to DET, it's certainly the easiest and logical move.
But if ATL has a chance to get him, they should try, and the moment can't be better than now with this good start. He would really help this team. I just hope that if he doesn't come here, he will return to DET, but not go to another team like S.A., CLE, or BOS or this kind of contender team.

i would love to sign McDyess to a sizable amount for only a two year deal, but if other teams are going to offer McDyess +3 years, then i would have concerns.

The team is hot now, but not to level of acceptance that vets see it as the best chance to get a ring. That's when you start getting veteran free agents knocking on your door. McDyess will likely return to Detroit where he's comfortable or to a team close to his home if that's his motivating factor.

BOS seems to me to be a natural for McDyess.
