I would be more optimistic if we had Smoove for this one. Bulls play well at home. I won't be pissed if we lose though.

Rose is going to eat up Bibby, but i feel more and more confident that Woody is smart enough to play Flip alot in this game.

Hinrich is out for this one. He gave JJ problems in past. Duhon used to kill us too, glad he is gone. Gooden will go off on us watch it. Yea Harry10 I think Murray is an underrated defender, he bothered CP in that Hornets game.

I think Gordon is the Bulls starting sg which means that Joe/Flip will be guarding Rose most of the time. I actually thought Rose would take more time but his rookie numbers are very similiar to Wades despite Wade being two years older.

I'm pretty sure the Hawks have not won in Chicago for atleast 4 years so I'm not counting on them to win this one. We already have 3 road wins under our belt so we really have nothing to lose in these next 2 games(although I obviously don't want the players to feel that way).

This will be a tough game for sure. Hopefully they got all the bricks out of their system tonight.

Chicago is facing a lot of injuries right now, none as bad as us losing Smith but enough that it probably hurts them as much if not more. The nice thing is that Chicago doesn't have anything in the way of inside scoring and they only have one slasher in Rose. Deng is finding his touch and Gordon has been lights out, so thats a concern, but without Smith we are more susceptible to penetration and Rose is the only guy trying to get all the way to the hoop on that team.

It'll be important for Woody not to get too carried away with Small ball though as Noah and Thomas can hurt you on the offensive glass. I'd still like to see a heavy dose of Solo and a dollup of Morris.

We usually don't play well on the road so I wouldn't be suprised if we lost, especially without Smith on the court, but like it was against OKC, we have more talent as things stand and should be able to pull it out if the guys come out with some fire.

Tyrus is a foul machine, Horford and Zaza need to make it easy for themselves and use alot of pump fakes.

i think Vinny is smart enough to play Sefolosha more in this game because of Joe, but hey, if Vinny is okay with Gordon guarding Joe and Marvin for +20 minutes, then great.

Our defense will definitely need to show up if we want to have any chance at winning this game. Solo, Morris and ZaZa will be key to our success and most of all our backcourt will need to stop Chicago's. The rest better show because we can't come up limp on offense at any point during the game and we need to strike fast.

With the way our defense is playing, I think this game is basically a toss-up (even with Josh Smith). Joe will be on the phenom all game, so I'm not too worried about him. What I am worried about is the active big men for Chicago. This might be another game where Horford and Solo have to step up big-time blocking shots, defensive rebounding and getting us out on the break.

And we've always got flip to come in and win it at the end!

Prediction: Close hawks win. 6-0. 76 more wins to go for the NBA's first undefeated regular season!
OT Prediction: The combination of Blank, Dimitroff, Mike Smith, and Matty Ice eventually pays off in not one - but TWO super bowl victories in the future. (and this is coming from one of the biggest Mike Vick loyalists in this town - at least one of the biggest caucasian Vick loyalists  )

Problem for you is you'll still be in Fulton County 4 years from now and your house will still get foreclosed on and you'll still be buying your own gas. Now back to our regularly scheduled basketball programming......

Why are you guys so down on this game? You sound like Bulls fans. That OKC game was an adustment game for the Hawks losing Josh. Joe shot a horrible % from the floor and they still won.

The Hawks need to defend on the perimeter and provide help in the lane via Horford and Solo when Rose penetrates. When he does penetrate they need to let the Rookie know it's going to be a long night down there by establishing a physical presence early in the game.

This is the type of game the Hawks need to win in order to establish themselves as permanent playoff fixtures in the East, Josh Smith or no Josh Smith.

Yeah this game really shouldn't be that difficult as long as we contain Rose. He can get into the lane at will. I'm not worried about any of their inside presence's, and Deng doesn't really scare me. Gordon's been playing well though, and he could always have a big game. But from top to bottom, our team should beat them even without Smith.

Rose is scary but he does tend to get out of control at times. They rely heavily on 1 on 1 play and have been somewhat turnover prone.

This will definitely be a tough win without Smith but it is doable. We need to shoot well though.

I'm worried about the team looking ahead to Boston on Wednesday as a chance to get some respect. Can't take Chicago lightly. Even banged up they are a good team. And as long as Atlanta has the gaudy record, opponents aren't going to have trouble getting up for the game.

Gooden is He is their only big with a face up/mid range game. If he doesn't play we will be able to pack the lane which should help when it comes to containing Rose. We also need to rebound MUCH better than we did vs OKC. Chicago is always a good offensive rebounding team and they had 42 offensive rebounds in their two wins against us last year. They are near the bottom of the league in fg percentage and we are near the top of the league in defensive fg percentage....defensive rebounds will be critical.

That means Zaza should be chained to the bench.

NEVER. Zaza must be freed to unleash the Terror.
