As a Celtics fan, I wish you guys luck.

Really nice to see the Hawks doing well. I lived in Atlanta for a few years (left in 2006), and saw all their struggles and the criticism firsthand. Now it really seems like the city has come out to support this team.

You guys have been playing great so far this season, and I'm sure it'll be a good game.

After the last two tough games with no Josh Smith and the back end of a back-to-back on the road...if we win this... :o

This would be a huge win for us. We really need Joe to have a good game if we want to have a shot though.

There's no doubt at all we're really catching you guys at the best possible time. It's the tail-end of a back-to-back (with the game tonight being close), we're rested, and Josh Smith is hurt. Plus we're at home.

All that being said, I expect your guys to really be fired up for this game.

Unfortunately Boston gets lucky again and catches us on a back to back game on the road without Josh Smith. Go figure! It would really be a miracle to win this game

I actually expect this to be close, with the confidence we're showing right now.

King Zaza is gonna hear a lot of heckling, and he's going to snatch some fool out of the stands and devour him whole.

Not to be too doubting, but if the Hawks are able make it a competitive game I'll be pleasantly surprised. Everyone in the media mentions taking the Celtics to 7 games in round 1, but while true the 4 games in Boston were ugly blowouts. The Hawks are playing great now, but it is the 2nd night of back-to-backs (for the 1st time this year), on the road, and with one key player out. The biggest factor I think is the 6-0 record. The Celtics are going to fired up to put the Hawks in their place which I doubt they feel is 7-0 atop the East.

Having said all that I'll be watching every minute, cheering all the way. Just like I'll be in person on Dec 17th and March 27th when we host Boston in our only 2 national telecasts of the year.

KG already getting excited about the upcoming game. Click the link to see the video.

Video: Kevin Garnett taunts Jose Calderon

From what I've read, there are basically two ways to look at this heated KG-Calderon exchange:

1) It was disgusting. KG should have been nailed with a taunting tech immediately, maybe even tossed. Sure, he's playing mind games and getting into his opponent's head, but the officials have to draw the line somewhere — he went way over it. Classless move by the Big Ticket.

2) It was awesome. We're what, six or seven games into the season, and here are two Eastern "All-Stars" jawing at each other like it's Game 7 of the NBA Finals. KG tried to rattle young Jose, but the Spaniard refused to back down. Loved the intensity. You can sense the mutual respect between the two.

Personally, I'm in the "awesome" camp. I got so fired up watching these two competitors go at that I started slapping the floor like I was Garnett himself. As a friend of mine put it, the NBA needs this type of emotion. Fans feed off of it and it makes the game more entertaining.

I'm looking forward to this game it is going to be a test for both teams. The Celtics can't afford to come out sloppy against the hawks like they been doing recently. This might sound crazy but I think you guys can make the ECF this year. JJ is playing at an elite level add that to horford and Smith and you have one complete team.

Btw it was nice to see horford have a break out game I hope he doesn't have a similar performance.

Wow. That's kind of insulting, but they are the champs and will probably be motivated to show no mercy.

Personally, if I was making a play I'd take the over. 179 seems low.

Before the line came out I felt it would be Boston by 8 and felt the over/under would be around the low 180's. Two teams, divide the 179='s 89.5 Boston probably holds us to under 85 points. I'm thinking more around the 70's. I also feel Boston covers and wins by 15+. Playing back to back on the road doesn't help our chances.

I hope Atlanta proves me wrong.

Back to back on the road against the champs without Smith..... ugh. They will really have to pull a rabbit out of the hat to win this one.

This is going to be a great test for our team. The second game of a back-to-back in a hostile environment against the champs. I'm not expecting a win, I just don't want to see our guys back down (like we did in Boston last year).

Once again I'll ask the question. Are you the one on the left, or the one on the right?
