Not much there, but it does point out that Marvin is shooting 64.7% from three. While it is unrealistic to maintain such a high percentage, I hope Marvin doesn't follow the same trajectory as last year when a hot start was followed by not being able to buy a basket during midseason.

As far as keeping a high shooting percentage i think Marvin has a couple of things in his favor. First is that when he is spotted up behind the line he won't have the balance problem that he frequently has on midrange shots when he catches the ball on the move. Secondly it isn't in Marvin's nature to force up contested long range jumpers. If he isn't wide open he will either drive or pass. He isn't going to be shooting step back 3s off the dribble.

Obviously he won't be able to sustain 64% though.

That's a good point Tontoz, it was also my impression on his shots.
I am just afraid that he will have less drives than before, and then get way much less FT's , and therefore less foul troubles for opponents. It's logical but I hope he can get the better of the two, depending on the team and players against him.

Keep in mind that the Hawks need 3 pt shooting not just for the points but also for better spacing. Better spacing makes it easier for other guys to get inside. Plus Marvin isn't likely to be a high volume 3 pt shooter. If someone is running out on him he won't hesitate to drive by them which he did last game.

Right now though with Bibby and Flip taking so many shots it will be hard for him to get to the line as much as last year.
