Best game thread of the season. Now, we need Horford for this game. We'd be in trouble if he's out. I think we're playing so out of control that it's hard to hudge this team these days. It's like we've lost our identity a bit, so I hope we get Horford and Smith back soomer rather than later.

I hope Horford is in too. We need this game, i mean we are better than Charlotte, but its always stupid to count any team out. They can win the game. I hope Smoove gets healthy soon.

Charlotte also has a pretty weak frontcourt. The key will be for Marv to abuse May while he's in the game and not get any more abused by Wallace while he's in the game. Okafor is tough but he's the type of guy that Zaza can bother if he can get a flop on him early. I think it might be too much to ask for Zaza and Marv to be the twin towers on the glass again but I'd be thrilled if I saw it.

I think this game could really come down to something fluky. Felton and Augustin are quick little bastards but neither is a particularly gifted finisher. If their shots are falling more than usual, it could be trouble but if they are getting to the rim and then stalling out, we could take it.

Joe has some big nights against the Cats because all their perimeter defenders kind of suck (even Wallace, at least he's not a stopper against a guy like Joe who can hit a jump shot with a little bit of space when Wallace overplays).

Not that it'll happen... but the Hawks need a game right about now where they're up 25 in the 3rd so they can let Randolph Morris and Mario West see some serious 2nd half PT to rest those like Pachulia and Joe Johnson that are logging heavy minutes until some pieces like Smoove and Horford get back in the roation.

Zaza always has trouble against Meka, but Zaza has been playing better basketball this season.

Bobcats are not a good team, but they have alot of really really good perimeter defenders

the biggest match-up will be Brown vs. Woodson. this is what i'm most interested to see. i just wonder if Woody is going to prepare differently for this game, because he knows what Larry's game plan is and what he likes to do.

Okafor and Wallace are going to be tough to deal with without Smith. Last year when Smith got in foul trouble against them Okafor went for 20/20. Wallace always gives us problems.

Smith also did his first stint on the treadmill yesterday. Funny thing about Smith is that you don't think of him ever having to work on cardio. He never seems to look tired.
