Randolph Morris x Zaza

Post#1 » by Skyhawk1 » Mon Nov 24, 2008 4:51 am

It's been really tough to see Zaza playing lately. He's horrible in every aspect of the game. Except for some rebounds here and there, he's useless. Then, I was watching us get hammered by the Cavs the other night and not even in that situation Woodson let R. Morris play. So, I have a simple question. Is it really possible that he can do a worse job than Zaza? I haven't seen Morris play that much before, but I can not see him being that bad.

Seems to be respected by his teammates and a large portion of the fans seem to like him as well.

At times I believe many of you expect ZaZa to do too much, including myself, and we must remember he's only a role player on this team. He's hit or miss every night. Overall I feel he's doing his job for a 5 million dollar player.

Based on what I've seen from Morris, I think he can definetely be worse than Zaza. He fouls people no matter where he is on the floor. Although I agree I would have liked to see him get some minutes in Cleveland.

I don't have an issue with Zaza this season. Like HM said, he's just a role player who brings size and toughness to the table.

In the last 4 games Zaza has one field goal and 9 turnovers. He is shooting 33% on the season. His matador defense is even worse than his offense.

Zaza blows, but i don't know that Morris is any better.

Okay, this thread makes me wonder just how many posters actually watch a game. Zaza deserves some love for the way he's battled. He's playing injured right now, if anyone cared to notice.

Morris may develop into a player but, right now, only his mother (or some poster who only looks at box scores and extrapolates) could possible think he is even close to decent.

Zaza is better by a mile.
My mother told me, she said, "Elwood, to make it in this world you either have to be oh, so clever or oh, so pleasant." Well, for years I was clever; I recommend pleasant.

Brown would have been real nice. But in Morris, the dude looks BAD. I mean, I saw good things out of rookie Solo in his one minute per game. Morris, when he is out there, just looks lazy and horrible.

a 24 year old role player is doing bad. STOP THE PRESSES, oh wait does anyone actually use presses anymore. SHUT DOWN THE COMPUTER.

I loved that after the preseason, there was a sentiment that Zaza might finally be ready to put together a solid season. Now, back to reality and people are calling for Morris...who might actually make people belive in Zaza again, should he actually get significant playing time.

Isiah Thomas' "extra 1st round pick of 2006" is pretty much a long term project at best.

Brown would have also been impossible because we didn't have the money.

Basically we are stuck with lame backup bigs this year.

My only hope is that R. Sund gets a way to send him + Law or anyone that we don't really need, for a C that can be servicable. I do not buy the excuse that Zaza's hurt and that's why he's been horrible. He sucks as a player, and it didn't start this season. We're as thin as hell with a frontcourt that includes Solo, Horford(not a 100% due to his injury), and we can't even rely on Zaza due to his rookie mistakes( 3sec violation, crazy jump shots, poor defense, offensive fouls, and all that stuff). I'm done with him. Where you read Trade Salim, please replace that last name with Zaza.

To answer the original question, it's fairly simple:

Randolph Morris is one of the 5 worst players in the NBA, and will be out of the league within 2 years.
Zaza Pachulia is god's gift to the world. His teammates love him, the fans love him, and there's no question the ladies love him. He is basically the perfect human being.

Perfect human being or not, he sucks at playing NBA basketball. King Solomon, the guy many thought wouldn't be in the NBA in 2 years, is outplaying him right now.

I don't think Solo has outplayed Zaza at all. Both of them have had a couple of strong games and been pretty pedestrian otherwise.

Zaza is quickly becoming the scapegoat for everything. Even when he only plays for ten minutes everyone jumps on him.

I'd rather have Zaza than some of the other scrub big men out there. At least he hustles and cares about his team and teammates. He proved a lot to me when he stood up to KG last year and completely changed the complexion of the Boston series.

I think Smith and JJ changed the complexion of the Boston series more than Zaza's 4/3 during the series. When your sole contribution is a head butt you know you didn't do much.

Really? It goes beyond stats to me. Zaza showed the C's that we would not be intimidated by them after they had pushed us around in the previous games and the rest of the team followed suit. I gained a lot of respect for Z after that.

It isn't like he stood up to Charles Oakley. Garnett is a stick figure.

Zaza only shot 28% against Boston. He is shooting 33% this season. It is funny how you have such a double standard with Zaza and Acie. Acie is just starting his second season while Zaza has been in the league for years. You make excuses for Zaza but won't hesitate to dog Acie.

Just to give you an example how bad Zaza has been right now Acie is shooting 10% better than Zaza.
