Anyone know if Acie is healthy enough to go? He was the lone bright spot that last trip to Dallas.

Also looking at that score list reminds me that 12/18/04 when we got ran 90-68 that Josh Smith notched 10 blocks. That was one of the few bright moments that entire year.

Dirk has had some big games against Smith in the past.

Hah, everytime we play Dallas I remember that. We won what? 13 games that year? Now we can get 13 in only our 19th game 8-)

^^^ Yeah that was Josh's breakout night as a shot blocker. Other than that and the win over the Lakers, there is nothing worth remembering from 04-05.

Yes there is. The Hawks blew out the defending champion Pistons in Detroit.

I remember Smith got the ball on a breakaway in that game and looked like he would go up for a casual dunk. But instead he exploded up with the ball in both hands extended over his head as high as possible. His head was rim high as he threw it down and the bench exploded. I had that game on tape and watched it over and over.

It was also fun watching Lue do his Jordan impersonation during the Hawks last 3 wins that year. In those three games Lue averaged about 30 points shooting close to 70% from the field and 95% from the line. He put on quite a show that year.

The turnovers were horrible, but other than that they are playing fine. But they can't keep throwing the ball away.

Flip managed 2 turnovers in 4 minutes. I am getting tired of his act in a hurry.

Dirk has made some really tough shots.

I didn't realize how well Dallas was playing until now. They are 8-1 in their last 9 games. The Hawks are playing some pretty good D. Dirk is making some tough shots but they still only have 41 points. The calls are also going our way as well. That foul on Bibby for the 3 point play that gave us the lead was a ridiculously bad call but I'll take it.

Wow that's gay. JJ and Bibby sure are clutch. Too bad Josh lost the ball right after he took it from Dirk, we really could've stole this one.

Man this loss hurts. I realize it would have been a miracle to come back from down that many points but we still beat ourselves at the end. Smith's turnover when down 2 with the ball gave them 2 points and we just stood there after Joe missed the 3 instead of fouling or even trying to steal the ball. It's like they conceded the game was over with 9 seconds left. That's not even counting the 3rd quarter disaster.

The Mavs scored 30 pts off 19 Hawks turnovers. That's the game right there. The Hawks beat themselves. They just aren't a smart team.

Oh well. We just had one of those nights. Shots weren't falling and we just couldn't get into a flow offensively. I like the run at the end, but I wish we had gotten better shots when we had those opportunities at the end but Josh got out of control and Joe was a little off balance on that three on the final possession.

I've always been a fan of Barea. I'd love to have him has a backup PG.

Gr8 comeback tonight....two of our seven losses have been by a combined 3 points.

Woody coached a good game tonight...so hats off to him.

Overall, we didn't protect the basketball....and the JJ Barea 3rd quarter was awful to watch. If I were Woody...seeing Barea drive the lane at will and untouched....I would have call for a hard foul to send Barea a message of "you're not gonna keep driving the lane at will like you're Kobe!" He really got off like he was an All Star...and the Hawks allowed it to keep happening.

Smoove steal made at the end, made things extremely interesting, but he was trying to do too much with the ball and should have gained control of the ball...and given the rock to either Bibby or Joe to make a play. He MUST understand that his job is to post up, slash and hit the occasional mid range jumper.

We took this one on the chin tonight...but a valiant 4th quarter from our Hawks
N3384W....24/7/365!
