J-Rich: Waived 'n Available

Post#1 » by lethalweapon3 » Sat Dec 6, 2008 7:11 pm

No, not THAT one...

The Orlando Magic have waived Jeremy Richardson, General Manager Otis Smith announced today.

Richardson appeared in just one game this season for the Magic and did not score in two minutes. He played in three preseason contests, averaging 4.0 points in 8.0 minutes per game.

Too bad he didn't make it there, he never really had a chance to play and the Magic needed to make room for the rumored Chucky Atkins deal.

Maybe if we have some injuries we can take another look at him. But our roster is set right now and we're shooting the ball very well, so I don't think we need J-Rich at this point.

Sorry for Jeremy, but no room at the inn here. I think his lack of defensive prowess kept him from getting minutes. Maybe he'll get a shot with the Knicks if they wind up with roster spot availability.

Sounds like they really like J-Rich over there. It will be interesting to see if he can get any consistent PT by the end of they year.

I wish him the best once again and hope he sees the court more this time around.

evildallas is right. We're not in any hurry to sign anymore guards, so it's doubtful that we'll ever see him in Atlanta again this year.

If the Hawks were going to sign anybody, I'd rather it be a veteran big-man instead of a pure shooter with little to no defense.
