If this team wants to be taken seriously as a contender in the east these 2 games are must wins. Both will be hard knowing that the Magic are so good away from home. I think we can take atleast 1 of them even though they will be very tough!
Is it to much to ask for a team that plays hard and cares? Seems so.

i think we gotta sweep the magic that catapults us to the number 4 team in the NBA. a split and we're just holding on the the 4th seed. lose both and we're in a fight with detroit for homecourt in the first round.

I don't think Detroit is going anywhere. They are starting to get it together right now and we need to play better if we want to hold them off for home court. There's a long way to go though.

I like the way the Hawks have approached divisional games. We seem to turn it on whenever we face the southeastern teams, so better come up the same way against the Magic. They have a better team, but we're not that far behind. We can challenge the Magic for the division title if we beat them twice this week, even though like I said before, they're the better team and play great on the road, something we could certainly use here.
GO HAWKS.

I agree with you! I think we are better than Magic hands down. Lewis is a bust for the amount of money he is getting paid. JJ is twice the player he is. Without Howard the Magic are terrible. For some reason when we play them they don't look that good to me but they do dominate the rest of the league.

We need to win one of the two. I'm actually worried, because I continue to think about the NJ back two back, and we completely just allowed them to dominate us. Now, I do feel will come to play against Orlando, but we need to prove to them that they have competition for the division. I don't even think most Hawk fans feel we can actually win the Southeast.

even if Dwight is on........ Joe has proven he is better and can dominate the Magic when he is on. Joe has proven that over the last 3 years.

We won pretty easily at Orlando without Marvin in the first meeting, so I think we will be fine. Need at least 1 of 2, and 2 of 2 would be great. I see both teams winning on their home courts though.

We should win one in order to match the rankings and records, but I hope we can win both and come only 1 game behind them. Looking at how the last games were played, ATL has the tools to win both games. It would be great, and balance with with both BOS games lost by one basket.

We can add the division record:
ORL: 4-1
ATL: 6-0

let's stay undefeated :)

"Without Howard the Magic are terrible."

What? Nevermind that he's barely missed any games, and we're 2-0 without him... that statement makes no sense at all... seeing as any team without their superstar would suck.

Anyways you guys always play us tough should be a good two games.

Two big games for the Hawks. Win both and we make a strong statement and a push for the 3rd spot. Lose both and we're looking at the 5 seed. At least a split is a must.

The Magic shot like crap the first time we played them. I doubt they shoot that poorly again.

We outrebounded them decisively the first time we played them. We have been horrible on the boards lately though. I think the rebounding will tell the tale in this game.

Wow. Just stop, dude. Your entire post smells of ignorance. Almost every point you made was completely incorrect.

Anyways; Good luck to you guys tonight. Should be an entertaining game, as will the one on Friday. Divisional games are always exciting.
