the obvious one would be to trade acie to a lottery team in exchange for a better backup PG. (this is assuming that speedy is done) Acie should have more value to a team that can afford to give him minutes than he does to the Hawks. But when I look around there really isn't anyone that just jumps out as a good fit. Watson on OKC would have maybe been that guy but he has been pretty awful this season. Other than that for the most part teams clearly out of the playoff race don't have quality veteran backup PG's.

bobcats got two pgs. So maybe felton is up for grabs and i think he is a FA at the end of the year. dont think they would want Law tho as they got Augustin.

We still need a big man who can give us productive minutes. Seriously, I almost broke my bedroom's wall when Zaza missed 4 FTs in a row at NJ and we lost at the buzzer. But that's not even the worst part of his game, even though he's been a bit better than usual latelly. A. Law has to go. Regardless of what we do with Bibby, there's no way he can run this team. So, I would love for us to get a deal involving J.Chill's rights + Zaza or/and Law, for someone who can actually be reliable at C.

you can't trade the rights to Josh Childress.

Could do Zaza and Acie for Nick Collison.
Would make us even more undersized than we already are but then again, Collison is a lot better than Zaza at most aspects of basketball.
Don't know that anyone is looking to make a deal for an expiring right now. I think most teams are trying to see where the chips end up falling.
We could try offering up the Zaza/Clax/Acie pupu platter for Hinrich and Ruffin and see if they bite, use the justification that they get to cut a lot of salary and have a new backup combo guard to put behind Rose...
I thought that Solo outplayed Zaza earlier in the season when he was getting minutes and the complete 180 that saw Solo go from a suprisingly productive 5-5-1.5 on 55% in 20mpg guy during the entire month of Noveber to a guy that can't even get situational minutes is one of the most baffling personnel decisions I've seen Woody make. Its because of that month that I'd feel a little better letting go of Zaza if something worthwhile would be coming back.
On the other hand, Sund does have some justification for sitting tight. I don't look at us as one of those teams that HAS to make a move regardless. If we are "a peice" a way from contention, its a big peice that might now be available this season for the assets we have. Also, we aren't an aging team that has to make a desperation move because our window is closing. I think the one thing Sund really needs to focus on is gauging the market for Mike Bibby. He's the only guy who knows how much ASG is going to be willing to offer for Bibby who is admittedly less than half a season from 31 and shooting at so much higher a rate than he ever has from deep that it could very well be a fluke. If ASG isn't willing to risk that this is the Mike Bibby they'd see for the life of a 4 year contract, thats when Sund has to move.

Why all the Zaza hate? He's doing the job on the boards and his precious FG% has risen to 47%. I've been very pleased with what he's done this year and it has helped us big time.

Zaza will crush you. Dead.

If giving the opportunity, I think law can run this team in another year or two. Nobody thought Rhondo could hold it down in Boston but Doc gave him a chance and it paid off. I would'nt give up on Acie just yet.

Rondo showed a lot more out of the gate than Acie ever has imo. The C's were also terrible so it gave Doc plenty of chances to throw him into the fire.

Rondo showed more out the gate because he was given more opportunity out of the gate, imo.

^^ Agreed. But he was given chances because he was playing on a pretty bad team and that isn't the case with Acie. We aren't really in a position to just throw Acie on the floor just to see what happens, it will cost us wins and we need as many of those as possible right now if we want to get home court.

There have been rumors of Sam Dalembert going to the ATL, any chances of that?

I know Atlanta wouldn't want to mess up a good thing with how well your playing but right now getting Sam won't take a whole lot. He is seriously out of the rotation in Philly, even with Brand out so this is the lowest his trade value will ever be.
Even though his salary is hefty, Sam in the middle for ATL would make your team a contender in the East.

What would a Mike Conley cost you? Is he going to cost you Marvin? You have to prepare for the Bibby negotiations before the end of the year.
And I agree, we have no depth on the frontline. While we have addressed the immediate needs, we still have to get a big man should Al or Smoove go down again this year. Does Dalembert help us long term? While I never thought of him as a primary starter, he would be very valuable off the bench, but a very expensive option. You think Philly is ready to start cutting costs halfway into Brand's first season?
Re: Speedy, he is done. If he can't keep up with the practice sessions, no way he helps us on the schedule.

LOL. It isn't going to do you any good to sell
us. We don't make the decisions.
I just don't see the Hawks taking on a salary that extends past 2010 until JJ is extended.

I seriously doubt Sund makes any moves before the deadline. I think he will just let the season play out and see what happens.
I have a feeling he will have some tough decisions to make this summer though. A slower than average backcourt combined with a small frontcourt isn't the best combo.
