Who would you prefer longterm? Below are links to the both players stats on yahoo. Take into account the players that Marvin has around him compared to the players Jeff Green has around him.

I think when made a focal point of the offense, marvin has shown the ability to get to the line consistantly at high numbers. IF he was on OKC, I think Marvin is a 20+ PPG player.

As is, he is on a team where shots are not going to be as plentiful and the scoring is really spread out.

I also think he could be a more consistant three point shooter than Green.

So I would go with Marvin.

Marvin of course, why would we trade a 4year vet Marvin for a same age and same type of a player that's in his 2nd season? Marvin is a little better offensively and much better defender.

Well, technically the question was who would you rather have longterm, not trade one for the other.

I mean, I would rather have Mike Conley longterm over Mike Bibby, but I wouldn't trade Bibby for Conley.

I think Green has more trade value, I'd rather have Marvin longterm. As far as trade value I really think people are discounting the uncertainty of Marvin coming up as a FA this offseason where a team like the Wolves could throw a big contract at him. And if the Hawks aren't willing to overpay him then he has the option of taking a 7.2 million dollar 1 year contract and being an unrestricted free agent in 2010 when a ton of teams are trying to create caproom.
