Blackout problem -

Post#1 » by graymule » Sat Jan 24, 2009 1:56 pm

:x Any one else have a problem with NBA League Pass Broadband?

Before the NBA season started, I purchased this. If you don't know, you watch the NBA games
thru your computer, rather than on T.V. I have high speed internet, so this is possible for me.
Also, mainly because I wanted to get the best picture, etc. possible, I had to spend over $400.00
on a new computer.

Now, sit back. Watch your favorite team. Watch who you want to watch when you want to watch.
Right? At least, that's what their advertising would have you believe.

Not so. You get to watch whoever THEY decide you can watch. The other games? They black
them out. Doesn't matter that you have paid. Nope. The last six - That's right, six - Atlanta
Hawks games, which were, as you know, both @ home and on the road, east coast and west
coast, blacked out.

I have complained. I get the form letter reply, "We're working on it." No other explanation.

Someone said, maybe you're doing something wrong is the problem. Nope. I can pull up
other NBA games, those available and not blacked out. System works fine. Any one else
having this problem? Am I being discriminated against or does the whole program suck?

I don't know. I do know I purchased something that does not deliver what I was lead to
believe it would. They have my money. I have no service. I am not a happy camper.

If you have an ATL area billing address then the ATL game will get blacked out. I have broadband too but I live in Atlanta now so I watch the Hawks games on TV anyways.

the problem is that some people in atlanta and georgia in general don't get all the hawk channels. they split off the hawks games to FSN South and Sportsouth, well i can only get FSN South where i live so i've been missing every game since the start of the year. if you pay good money to see every game, then you should be able to see every game.

Nope. I'm in N.C. , not Georgia.

Today, I got a personal reply, not a form letter. Seems their is a glitch and I should have
been getting the games. If they solve the problem, then fine. But, I've already missed
those games which I paid for and didn't get.

I would try changing your address to a far away one like NY or Cali, see if that works. It's definitely worth trying.

lunarblues/graymule,

It's against the forum rules to show you guys some places where you can watch online. But give me an email if you want me to show you where to go.
