we would accept (i think gerald is making the same amount of money marvin is gonna make on the market) but i doubt the hawks ownership is thinking about trades right now.

Re: Just curious: ATL/CHA trade
As a fan or an owner? As a fan, I'm concerned about Gerald Wallace's health and his bad 3 pt shooting, but I'm hopeful in his agressiveness and defense. As an owner, I'd have to do it. Sean May's expiring and it get Speedy off the books a year early which helps us with room to tweak. Wallace's contract is stable through his prime, whereas Marvin is likely to command more than his personality is likely to back up (I still don't see the killer instinct of a superstar). The final reason is a hope that with Wallace on board to defend the other team's top scorer it might improve the offensive efficiency of Joe Johnson and might improve the defense and rebounding of Josh Smith by keeping him back in the lane more on D (it's a stretch, but that's hope for you).
The big concern is that Marvin blossoms into the star that his talent portended and he does so just down the road in Charlotte. I think that's less likely than the ASG overpays to keep him and he becomes a career okay player never justifying the big bucks.
