Can we win on the road?

Nate Robinson is a game time decision. If he does play he's possibly the best shot blocker on the court.

The line is o, it's a PK game for right now, and the O/U is 214.

This is a game that we can play. Up and down is always better for us. We look strapped in the half court.
I would think we go over 214, and we get a win tonight in the Garden.

A few things:

Someone in the organization must have pulled Smoove aside and told him that, only if wide open, will he be permitted to hoist 15 + foot jump shots. He is playing with his back to the basket....posting up and making his shots. That his game....15 feet and in...not the other way around.

And Bibby is pretty much useless if he isn't hitting his jump shots. A nice floor general, but if he's not hitting his shots, he's not effective in our line-up.

We need to continue driving to the rack...cause the Knicks don't have an answer for our work in the paint.

David Lee has 10 rebounds, Smith 1. No way the knicks should be leading at the half.

The Hawks got outworked. We went into the 4th quarter w/o a steal while the Knicks(a team obviously not known for defense)were very disruptive. The Hawks just abandoned the pick and roll when it was working so well in the 1st half.

I have to give props to Woody. Just when i think he couldn't get any dumber he manages to surpass himself.

the biggest player the Knicks have played all night is David Lee. So instead of attacking inside Woody decides the best thing to do is keep jacking 3s even though they are off.

horford had 20 pts effortlessly and they just completely stopped looking at him early in the 3rd.

They played better defense than we did. We only played in spurts, waiting for the end to play hard.

That kind of effort is sad.

I've got Marvelous' problem figured out: he can't manage his own rhythm. He plays to the pace of those around him. Not one of his 3pt attempts was with any kind of rhythm. It looked as if he just threw some of them up because he thought he had to.

And what's with this TWIST he does when he shoots sometimes? Did he forget how to square up?

And Acie looked good at the end. That probably means he won't play for another 4 games.

During the previous two games Zaza Pachulia put up solid numbers: 11pts, 8rebs and 10 points, 5rebs, 6-6 ft's. Coach Woodson decided to play small ball tonight and only play ZaZa seven minutes. We needed to get the ball inside and we failed.

If Maurice Evans is going to be on the court for over 20 minutes he needs to produce better numbers. Coach Woodson had to see the lack of production and yet he continued to keep him on the court.

Oh well, hopefully will come to play against a hot Charlotte team.

I think Marv has always had trouble squaring up if he isn't standing still when he catches the ball. I actually think he's gotten a lot better at shooting on the move though.

I gotta give you credit pars, you're gonna make that "marvelous" nickname stick if its the last thing you do.

Dime Mag has a brief article on the Knicks coaching strategy on the game

http://dimemag.com/2009/03/bibby-is-struggling-keep-him-there/#more-5741

#1 No Joe in the paint
#2 Bibby is struggling - Keep him there
#3 Don't let Pachulia make an impact

I missed the game because I had to work late, but it sounds like Woodson took care of #3.

Quick note: Sekou says Smoove has the flu along with Bibby. That makes my earlier "sad effort" remark not so appropriate. The flu is really hurting my wife and some of my friends (and has for the last 6 weeks for some of them). I can see how it'd hurt the Hawks.

Of course, SOME coaches might reach into their BENCH right about now .......
