Does he not realize the Hawks offense consist of joe johnson or flip taking turns playing 1on1 the whole game?
Smith's "selfish" play is the result of this. If he didnt jack up "selfish" shots, everyone would be comaplaining that he isnt being assertive enough.( like they do Marvin Williams)
Marvin and Josh just cant win.

i agree, from what ive seen in hawks games everyone but Joe and Flip get their points off offensive rebounds, steals, or fastbreaks

It seems like Smith has been in the doghouse most of the year. It would surprise me if he was really being selfish. God forbid he tries to get himself involved in the game and be productive.

Bass would have to be signed and traded. Josh Howard is a 3, Atlanta has Marvin, so theres no need there. Josh Smith is a 4, Dallas has Dirk, so he's not needed, and theres no way Josh could play the 3 if your curious.

if smith didnt jack up selfish(sometime stupid) shots, he would look like Al horford.
He would be standing around with his hands down his pants while all the fans go "oh man, i really wish they would give him more touches"
Throwing up 3pt'ers has become less of a problem for him. Shot 5 all of last month. pretty much a non-factor. It would hurt if he had a month where he went 19-73( like joe johnson had).

Would you take Andrew Bogut for Smith and a pick possibly? Perhaps Charlie V and Ramon Sessions in a sign and trade when you lose Bibby?
Get back to me on Bucks board...I am just asking?

Milwaukee would never consider trading Bogut for Smith. They already have too many forwards and this is an awful draft for centers anyway.

In a heartbeat - but why would the Bucks do that deal???

I would like the Bogut deal because C is so hard to get, but no going to the Bucks board because I don't feel the rest of the fan base feels the way you do.
I like Ramon Sessions as well, I was shocked that he fell to late in the 2nd round. Our previous GM couldn't find a 2nd bargain to save his life. That year I think he gave away our 2nd to Dallas in a deadline trade the year before that they made to save on luxury tax. He was doing Dallas a favor and gave away a pick in the process. What a schmuck!
