Sorry we couldn't beat the Heat for you guys

Post#1 » by JazzFan4Life18 » Sat Mar 14, 2009 9:00 pm

But after playing both teams, it's very obvious to me that Atlanta is the better team. You guys just flat out beat us. That Miami game, we should've won but we made stupid stupid decisions down the stretch, and gave the refs a chance to bail the Heat out, which they're good at doing it seems like.

Damn. Please sweep them in the first round!

And I thought Utah could take the Lakers to 6, 7 games.... nothing like a trip to the south to find out what you're really made of.
GO HAWKS.

Utah's last minute in the 4th quarter was probably the dumbest I've seen a team play all season. They then followed that by getting up 8 in overtime and blowing that lead too. Miami got some help from the refs but the Jazz kept turning the ball over and shooting early shots for no reason.

I think I'm just going to stop scoreboard watching and pay attention to the Hawks from now on. I just hope we play well and get the 4th seed. Wade is a great player but I'd prefer to play them over Detroit(post AI)or Philly. Teams whose leading scorer averages like twice as much as anyone else usually do pretty poorly in the playoffs unless they are led by Lebron.

Great, now we get to hear about how Dwyane Wade scored 50 points, and the media will leave out that the game went into three overtimes.

Miami was a one man team with a 20 and 9 allstar center?

Like I said...teams who depend so heavily on ONE player for their offense usually don't go far in the playoffs unless they are Cleveland. Miami's 2nd leading scorer is Beasley at 13.4 ppg. Wade scores 29.7 ppg. It's just a fact that most teams that have a gap that massive between their 1st and 2nd leading scorer tend to not do well in the playoffs. I really can't think of anyone else besides Lebron to score more than 10ppg(let alone 16ppg!) more than the 2nd leading scorer and advance a round in the playoffs. Iverson in 2001 is the last guy I can think of.

I think the real story is that Wade is having these monster games yet they are barely winning. It really shows how awful his supporting cast is which strengths his argument for MVP. He has to play at an extremely high level every night for his team to have a chance.

I think most of the NBA awards are a joke(especially coach of the year) but my criteria for MVP is the guy I would take if I had to start a team and that's Lebron...however I could understand some one saying Wade should get the award because he may me the most valuable for his particular team...but if that's the case then no one other than Lebron or Kobe should have won from 05 to 07.

^^^ No kidding. The supporting cast around D Wade is a complete joke, it actually was a decent mish-mash of vets the year they won it all. That's why he has my vote for MVP. The Cavs are a well oiled machine now, they have been together for quite sometime and finally added another legit scorer to the mix in Williams.

That being said, I'm a little scared of playing Miami in the playoffs. Wade is going to win a couple of games for them all on his own, and we are dumb enough to piss another couple of wins away.

Wade is just scary...... i'm starting to think i would rather loose home court advantage and face the Magic than have home court and face Wade

No panic but I really think the Hawks are gonna stay in that fourth spot then face the Heat in the first round.

I'm starting to think who's gonna be guarding Wade now. JJ? Flip? Mario? Acie?

Return to Atlanta Hawks
