MONUMENTAL GAME! Coming off the 7-0 homestand, the Hawks need to make a statement by taking it to the Cavs who have only lost 1 game on their home floor and that was to the Lakers. Hopefully LeBron and the crew are a little tired from the overtime game they played against the Blazers (who we blew out at home LOL). If Al and Josh dont get shots in the post we will not win the game. The defense on Lebron needs to be excellent. No Szcerbiak, so thats 1 less shooter we have to worry about, but they have plenty more. The unsung hero is Mo Williams as you all know. If he gets hot we will get waxed. I have a good feeling about this game. Joes got confidence were playing great defense, and most of all have a winning swagger right now. Let this contiunue PLEASEEEEEE! With a win in Cleveland there will be no way that we can be ignored any longer, and hopefully some Hawks fan will come out of the woodwork to support their hometown team.
Do it for the A, Hawks!!
GO HAWKSS!!!! The KING! V.S. The Terminator!
Is it to much to ask for a team that plays hard and cares? Seems so.
It will be a great test to see how these guys do when they play 8 players at one time. If we can win 5 on 8 with Lebron being one of the 8 then I'll be really impressed with this team, but it will be tough since we are outnumbered by 3 at all times.
If we didn't have the current win streak the line would probably be 11. Cleveland also has a seven game win streak going. I just hope we come out prepared and focused.
Cleveland at home: 31-1 Atlanta on the road: 14-21
everybody expects the Hawks to make it out of the first round. if the Hawks think they can make the finals, then today's game will be a litmus test for the players, especially for Josh and Horford. we can't really expect Joe to out perform Lebron, but if the Hawks want to get past the Cavs, especially in a 7 game series, then Josh and Horford will have to out perform their counterparts.
I think this is a game where we'll really miss Marvin Williams. He is one of our best defenders and defended Lebron pretty well last game. Hopefully Mo Williams will live up to his "defensive specialist" title because I haven't seen it too much this year.
This game probably doesn't mean much in the standings because we are almost a lock for the 4th seed. I just hope the Hawks the Hawks show that they are capable of putting together a decent game on the road against an elite team. If they play Cleveland as tough as Portland did then I will be satisfied.
Cleveland's been winning everything, but with very few blowouts. I'll take the Hawks and the points and the over. Hoping that the confidence of the recent home stand and the strong performance last time we faced the Cavs (also at home) help. If we do lose it will break the sans Marvin perfection, but that couldn't last forever.
