OT - Bigger sellout?

Video Here
Guitar Hero Metallica commercial with Rick Pitino, Mike Krzyzewski, Roy Williams, and of course Bobby Knight. Upon seeing it I was struck with a question about selling out.
The arguments for each:
Metallica - The rock band that built a following claiming it was all about the music and they wouldn't play the "game" by doing videos, etc. went on to not only do a lot of videos, but produced an album of cover songs, a concert album with an orchestra, went a decade of recycling compilation albums and become the poster band for cracking down on file sharing fans. Now they jump on the Guitar Hero train to squeeze a few more pence out of songs from more than 17 years ago.
Bobby Knight - After years of bashing the whores in the media paid to cover people like him, he retires to become a media whore just like he always bashed. It doesn't end there, he follows that with any commercial that will have him like the VW commercials. Now he's the front man for the coaches band probably because there isn't a 4th recognizable current coach with the right mix of personality and suggestibility that the writers could make a joke around.
The college coaches - Mike Krzyzewski is well known for the quantity of his commercials (Chevy, American Express, countless others). Rick Pitino hasn't recently been getting a lot of air for his Vitamin Water commercial with Christian Laettner. Roy Williams had a Coke commercial where he talks about devotion and loyalty that ran a lot. I'm sure there are more examples especially local ads but those are the current highlights. Now the big 3 of coaching endorsers unite to be the backing band for the General. At least it wasn't Dick Vitale or Digger Phelps on lead vocals.
