OT:It's official, Billups best PG in NBA

I have been a HUUGE Billups fan for the last 6 years. After being drafted by Boston a decade ago and strugglng as a PG early in his career, Billups found his game a few years back under Larry Brown. He's been the quarterback on the most consistent team. He was the best player on that championship squad and, apparently, was the most important player for the Pistons the last few years.
I advocated Billups coming here a couple years back, though I NEVER thought Dumars would be crazy enough to trade him. The response here, was surprisingly negative. Even before we had Bibby, guys on this blog were more enamored with young unproven PGs from the draft over Billups. More than one reader referred to him as 'too old' and 'past his prime'.
His resurrection of a Nuggets team that hasn't done much the last 15 years is astounding. His head to head dominance against CP3 seems to have sealed the deal. A backcourt of Billups of Joe Johnson would be one of the greatest of all time. Balance, size, defense, shooting, ball handling, unselfishness.
Bibby has provided a sure hand and a veteran prsence in his time here. But Billups provides a swagger, championship composure, leadership and clutch shooting that even CP3, Deron Williams have to admire. The fact that he's played under Woodson makes it a no brainer. I'd have given Chill, Smoove and Bibby for a shot at Billups and, subsequently, a shot at a title.
But now the world knows, last year Denver was an afterthought. this year they are on the verge of getting to the 2nd round for the first time in 15 years. And the Pistons....are about to get swept.
