difference between heat fans and Atlanta hawk fans

Post#1 » by johnny878 » Thu Apr 30, 2009 7:09 am

Heat fans are super homers. They thought beasly was going to average 20 and 10. They thought Magluire was going to be the deciding factor in the series(lol all he has done is shove after the play, he even got a rebound yet? complete trash)

They are overly optimistic to an extreme.

While Hawks fans just sit around debating on which player they expect to fail.

Heat have fans?? lol Those are all Wade fans... classless..... They want Magloire to hit us hard, but he is to scared, Zaza would eat him alive... They can not take a loss, they are wishing Smoove tears up his ACL, Zaza gets another black eye, Bibby gets hit hard and stuff like that... They are crying like little girls, they wont even speak with you.. If you make a comment they will tell you to get off their board... haha

Heat fans are hilarious. haha... I kinda feel bad for them, but at the same time screw them...

There were some very disrespectful and cocky fans when I went over there to congratulate them after they won last week. I'm not a Hawks homer and I still think think that the Heat are still very alive in the series...but it's pretty funny seeing the same people who were so cocky last week with the "the hawks have fans?" posts now crying about Wade getting boo'd and saying that Cleveland is going to stomp us when the series isnt even over yet.

Every team has a spectrum of fans from good to boorish. Atlanta and Miami are not exceptions. Not every Atlanta fan booed an injured Dwayne Wade, but enough were loud enough that it was characterized that way on the TNT broadcast. I was a little shocked by the booing when he came back out from the locker room into the game because it seemed to be a larger group. It's standard fan etiquette to clap when someone leaves with an injury and to cheer when someone returns from an injury even if it is the opponent. They are out there competing for your entertainment and risking injury, have a heart.

Having said this I won't be going back to the Heat board to even peruse a game thread ever again. I checked it after the game to see what all the talk was about. I don't like the tone of a forum mod posting "Break his ******* leg" when Horford got hurt. A mod like that is the same type of person that would boo an injured player and it doesn't set a good overall tone for a board. There were plenty of other vile comments so that mod isn't an isolated bad egg.

in that case, it is better to be a Heat fan.

i hate pessimist.

all coaches (and athletes) are optimistic in nature, i don't know of a coach who tells a player that they are going to fail instead of telling them what they can do.
