http://www.cleveland.com/cavs/index.ssf/2009/04/cavaliers_insider_heat_or_hawk.html"It's not like we're preparing for a Shaq [O'Neal] and a Kobe [Bryant], a guard and a big man," point guard Mo Williams said. "We know with Miami it starts and ends with D-Wade, and with Atlanta it starts and ends with Joe Johnson. It's two guards that do a lot for the team."
Not that it matters, but I guess he hasn't watched any of this series.

Mo's not the brightest player and needs to watch more film. Takes a shot at both us and Miami and yet he comes off like he doesn't have a clue what he's talking about.

I think its pretty obvious what hes talking about, you guys are way to sensitive. To me it seems like hes saying he doesn't have to prepare for a team with a dominant wing player AND a dominant post player. Do either of us have that? Uhh no.

I agree with BlaZe, Mo doesn't seem to be taking shots at Joe and Wade but simply saying that everything runs through them instead of having a team where you have to focus you defense on a guard and a big man. Joe and Wade are the only players on their teams that have to face a double team (J O'neal on occasion). Miami definitely runs through Wade more than the Hawks run through Joe.

Nothing would please me more than to see guys like Mo Williams, who honestly thinks he's an All-Star caliber NBA player with or without LeBron James, look stupid in the second round.

Joe has had one good game this entire series and the Hawks currently lead 3-2. Obviously the Hawks do rely on JJ a lot, but to say it "starts and ends with him" is simply incorrect. Otherwise this series would be over already.

You've watched every game this series though, Joe has been the key Hawk (arguably) in only 1 of those games. Now, he's talented, but he's clearly not talented enough to carry this team to the record it ended with and he's clearly not outdueling Wade even though Wade has been subpar.

What he said is no big deal. Thats basically like us is saying "It starts and ends with Lebron", Which is true. Its not saying were one man teams but have that one player that is the catalyst. Exaclty what the Cavs have in Lebron. NO BIG DEAL. ^^^I guess there is that arguement that if Joe was our man team we would have already lost this series, but when he plays well we play well, and when he struggles we struggle most times. Mo williams doesnt watch much basketball, so im not making anything of this, hopefully the Hawks do and use it for some influence to beat the Cavs if we get there, even though we have no chance.

He, and the Cavs can say whatever they want. They had the best record in the NBA, have homecourt, went 3-0 vs us, and swept their series. Joe has usually been our leader, but not in the postseason. That nod probably goes to Josh right now, but there is no doubt Joe is way more offensively gifted.

Oh, the irony. Mo Williams calls two other teams one-man teams. Hilarious. In your guys defense, Bibby can pwn MO Williams. Has Mo ever heard of the NBA Champion Sacramento Kings with BIbby? Idiot.

My OP said "Not that it matters". I just thought it was an ironic comment given the source and deserved to be shared.

That expression has now made it to 3 separate threads. It's apropos, but it's also spreading like swine flu.

Actually we beat the Cavs this year and ended their 12 game winning streak. We also only lost by 1 to them in the next home game on a BS foul call on LeBron.
I find it hilarious that he calls us 1 man teams when he plays with LeBron James.

I don't think that Mo was trying to bad talk the hawks...Remember, the Chicago bulls with Jordan was called a one man team too. To me in way he is right as of right now, without M. William, the hawks are a one man team...a very dangerous one man team...

What theory is that exactly? I just watched Joe Johnson during most of the first round get picked up by Mike Bibby, ZaZa, Josh Smith, and some of his other teammates. Atlanta has some very good chemistry, but they rely on each other, and not just Joe Johnson. If Joe was more consistent I would agree with Mo, but he's not, and I never know which Joe will come to play.
