Dwyane Wade's back felt better on Thursday and he seemed more concerned with the sportsmanship of the Hawks than his injury.

"I'm at the point where whatever is wrong with me, it doesn't matter," said Wade. "I am just moving on from my injuries."

Josh Smith attempted a between the legs dunk during Atlanta's blowout win in Game 5.

"It is [disrespectful]," said Wade. "One thing I go back to is something my high school coach always told me: "Act like you've been there before."

"He used to hate when I dunked and pounded my chest all the time. Win, lose or draw you are supposed to be classy. [There are] some unprofessional things that [the Hawks] have to take care of."

Wade is right on this one . Showboating in a blowout in the playoffs has no place among professionals. Its not classy, its disrespectful, and its not something a grown man who respects the game should be doing. Respect for the game and fellow players / warriors comes first. No need to show up a team that's been fighting its guts out.

Might want to check out one of those links by the OP. You'll see D Wade throwing down a windmill dunk off of an alley oop while up 20+ against Lithuania.

I love the hyperbole about "showboating,"respecting the game," and "being classy." What does that even mean? Every fan in that arena wanted Smoove to throw down a massive dunk and so did most people watching on TV. I have no problem with what he did, and I hope he does the same thing to finish off Miami tomorrow.

For one, the Heat weren't fighting their guts out last night (and we weren't in game 3). For two, its not OK to Wade unless he's doing it or one of his boys does it to someone else (he didn't complain when Bron did it to the Pistons).

Wade is not dumb. Everything he says to the media is for a reason. If you remember after game one he said the "I get criticized if I take all the shots or if I don't take any". After game 4 when he played like crap...of course he said he was about 60 percent(who would really come out and say this)then contradicting himself the next day by saying "I'm not a doctor" when asked if he thought he had a concussion when laying on the ground for so long.

I don't have a big problem with it. I just think he's trying to take the heat off his younger teammates and/or get into the Hawks heads a little.

And let's not even talking about LeBron and the Cavs and how they carry on! But it's ok, and acceptable for them to do it in every NBA city....with Lebron's "chalk toss" before every game, the entire Cavs team posing for pictures, with Lebron acting like he's the photographer....to Lebron flexing his muscle and screaming after every dunk!

Near the end of the clip Wade fumble the ball away in OT and gets ejected for complaining about it. Replay showed that he wasn't touched but in his mind he had to fouled in order to lose the ball.

I only used examples from the last 2 months. I know Josh Smith could use some decorum lessons, but Dwayne Wade wouldn't be the one teaching the class. His ass should be in the next seat over learning how to behave as well.

Also, remember the dunk that Wade missed down by 20 in 4th quarter game 5. He tried to thunder it down with extra force while undefended and hit the back of the rim. Surely a professional would just make the simple dunk without theatrics in a blowout game like game 5, right? Or does the keep it simple mantra only apply to the team leading the game?

As for Mario celebrating the stop. He's an undrafted, league-minimum, energy player who has to fight just to stay on a roster. He gets inserted into the game for one play to try and pressure one of the elite players in the league. He performs his job admirably without fouling forcing the "superstar" to settle for a long jumper which he misses. Of course he's pumped. That was probably the highlight of his short pro career. It comes as little surprise to me that Dwayne Wade doesn't think that Mario West deserves the honor to guard the Dwayne Wade. I apologize that Mr. Wade had to answer a question concerning our 10th man that's inappropriate.

you guys forget that we were the worst team in teh NBA last year...we have 2 rookies that play a major role and a bunch of sophomores that are in our 8 man rotation as well. If any of you watched heat games, you will know that it starts and ends with Wade just like Mo Williams said. You guys dont know how Wade does for our team. He does everything for us, score gamewinners, plays defense, game winning steals and blocks, just basically everything. Joe Johnson is a good player but put Wade on the hawks team and this series would have already been over. Wade has had a tough time making the change to being a leader of this team, and every game for us has been like a playoff game. That is why you guys see Wade complaining so much. He knows that his legacy and his team success depends all on him and he is a competitive guy.

I just want to say that I am sick and tired of hearing Jim Rome and all the other sports experts talk about the Josh Smith dunk attempt. I was in the stands and anyone else who was there cannot honestly say that you wouldn't have erupted if he had made it. It was in the heat of the moment, and he had been gettin beat up by these guys all night. Every fan at Philips saw him leak out on the play and all of us were standing by the time he got the ball in anticipation of what he was planning on doing. That is what everyone in the stands wanted to see.

Also, they have been saying about how Woody probably is chewing him a new one, but I watched when the timeout was called and all he did when Josh walked by him was smirk a bit and give him a pat. Even Woody knows that that is what Josh is known for and that is what everyone wanted to see. I am 100% sure that Woody would rather see that than see Josh throwing up jumpers all night.
