Jon Barry predicts a sweep. He knows nothing.
Magic predicts losing in 6.
Thoughts and predictions gentleman?

I don't think you can blame Barry for predicting a sweep. I think the media(like last year)underrates how much better the Hawks play at home but Cleveland won 66 games and we don't match up well with them. I just hope we don't see these dumb threads calling for anyone's head directly after a loss. It was bad that we had atleast one of these threads after every loss to Miami but please lower your expectations if you are planning on getting pissed off for every individual loss vs the team with the best record in the league.

Congrats on winning that tough series against MIA. Coming from a Celts' fan, I wish you guys the best of luck. Beat the Cavs, so we can hopefully face you guys in the ECF's. :D

Cheers.

Thanks. I would LOVE to see another series between BOS-ATL. KG would definitely have to suit up to make it like old times. Here's hoping and wishing!

As for the Cavs series, the long wait for the Cavs may be a kind of Catch-22 for them. On the one hand, it might take a quarter, half, game or even more to shake off the rust, but they've had about a week to scout and prepare for their next round opponent. This will by no means be easy for the Hawks, but I feel good about the games we have at home. Do we have it in us to steal one by the lake?

First, the layoff is an opportunity for game 1 that I hope we can take advantage of. I don't expect any sluggishness to last long enough to swing the game to us, but I can hope. I also hope Marvin can play, but if his hand/wrist isn't ready then he shouldn't be pressed into action.

The Cavs should be favored to win and easily at that. To predict the upset in the series would be thinking with my heart not my head. Still probably too much heart not enough head, but I'm going with Cavs in 6. The Hawks are playing with house money from here on out. They can now play the no respect card in game preparation. I can't break down the series to justify the opinion right now. I'm spent (left it all at Philips Arena).

I think you guys match up well against the Cavs when you have Marvin Williams at full strength.

I say you guys will protect home court at least once, probably both of the first 2 games at Atlanta, but I still think the Cavs will win in 6.

I also don't expect the Cavs to be rusty at all and with the blow-out nature of the series you guys just finished, and the insanely spread out first round your guys shouldn't be that tired.

I don't think the Cavs could sweep a team like ATL who gave Boston such a great run last year.

I dont think we expect to have Marvin at full strength, but just his 3 pt prescense is enough if hes nnot back to 100%. Plus hes an extra body which would be better, so we cna bring Mo off the bench.

I cant find any seats for game three via ticketmaster. Is anybody else having that problem? Maybe its the system or something.

Hell yeah! Should KG come back this round or the next, it'll be a good series.

And on the topic of you guys versus the Cavs; I like your guys chances with Marvin Williams at least 70%. I firmly believe that you guys can upset them. At least I'm hoping you do. Hopefully Joe Johnson comes out of whatever slump he's in and steps it up. Josh Smith is probably gonna give the Cavs hell. Once again, I wish you guys the best of luck in this series! :)

jon barry is a douche. never heard someone so harsh on a team that just won a playoff series.

guess he forgot the hawks had two pretty damn huge injuries in the series.

Hey guys I am a Cavalier fan...

Good series win over the heat. The Hawks earned that win....

Now I don't think that the Hawks will be able to get a series win over my Cavs but, I do admit that this will be a much tighter match up with the Cavaliers then it was with detroit. These are the facts...

1. The hawks are one of the few teams to not have lost to the Cavaliers by more than double figures.

2. The hawks have kept Lebron's shooting below 50% from the floor thruoughout the 4 games they played this season.

3. Lebron have not scored more then 28 pts throughout the 4 regular season games that that have played...

Just wanted to share that info with you...This will be a much better series than the media is trying to protray and that it will not be a sweep as some Cavaliers fans are saying....Do want them to sweep the hawks? Hell yeah! But I am also a realist to know that if a team can play the boston celtics to a 7 game series last year that they are also very capable in doing to the Cavaliers this year....

Hears to a great series hawk's fans and to the hope of great friendly series thread....
