Sekou Smith, AJCs resident Hawk insider, and the only reporter in the country tasked with following ATL's basketball team full time, has been moonlighting with CBSSports.com and the Sports Xchange.
Is this a sign that he might be ready to move on to bigger things, ala Steve Wyche? Or is he just filling his free time this off-season and making some extra dough in the process?
He's done a mock draft thats available on CBSSports.com. It's always nice to see a beat writer outside the three big markets get some national attention.

Re: Sekou is on CBSSports.com
It wouldn't surprise me if Sekou goes somewhere else, I try to keep up with all of the teams' news via the local papers and he is one of the better beat writers out there.
Then there's also the issue at AJC, where they are cutting costs like crazy right now. Not exactly the best place to be right now and he could easily be looking for more job security.

I feel like he's done some writing for Cbs in the past, so I wouldn't be too worried.
