So the trade is just being finalized and right now I'm thinking what a waste of a trade for the warriors. We really didnt get any talent in return. Sure we got rid of crawfords contract and he didnt fit our team but this kid can ball so I feel jipped.
can you guys give me some insight on Acie Law, can he be a backup here? What are his sills?

He is an expert at warming up the bench. If it is cold then he can warm it up very well.

if anybody is gonna get something out of law and claxton its nellie. law is good when he has the chance to drive to the basket, but in woody's system it's more about spot up shooting. let law play and you might have a steal. i'm rooting for him.

right now we have an unsigned watson as our backup but hopefully law can become a better back up.

Dude was a stud in college and never put it together for the Hawks. He's lacked confidence in his shot and in finishing at the rim. Acie's shown spurts of being able to penetrate and a willingness to run pick and roll, but success and minutes have eluded him. To some him up I guess I would say that he doesn't do anything outstanding that would be his identity. I'd had written him off as a flop and considered him an expiring contract, which is sad because I have an Acie Law jersey. I swore that if Billy Knight ever drafted a PG that I would buy a jersey, so I was compelled to make good on that. Too bad he didn't work out.

lmao waste of a trade? we dont have to pay an extra year for that chucker, more playing time for belinelli and morrow, that chucker wont be here to chuck a lot with those 4/15 fg games, etc.

Wow no basketball sense and no sense of value either. That chucker is beneficial to other teams, just because he doesnt fit with the warriors (due to monta) doesnt mean that he cant help another team.

If this is done, I hope this fresh start helps Acie get his career going in the right direction. Also, if he does well this would be the final bit of evedince that woodly can't develp talent

The problem with Law is very simple. BK, our loved former GM drafted this guy much more for the pressure of passing up on so many PGs in the previous drafts than for his talent. My opinion on Law is very simple. Here's a guy who was a big time shooter in college (that means he was playing off the ball, something true PGs don't do), then you draft him to run an atlhletic team in the NBA, where he's got to dish the ball out, and people don't understand why the kid looks awful 95% of the time. That being said,I wish him the best, he's just another victim of BK, poor guy.
